Caine and the Queen had been so wrapped up in getting Della to the doctor, that they didn't even care where Mister, Pearl and Justin had gone. Mister took that opportunity to escape them and get back to his great grandmother's castle. He made it back to find that Pearl and Justin had either hidden themselves very well, or left all together. It didn't matter to him either way at the moment, though, because he wasn't there for them. He only briefly looked around as he made his way to the master bedroom to retrieve the book that he had stashed back in its original hiding place under the floor. Once again he pulled the rug back, lifted the board, and reached inside. He felt around in the darkness, but he didn't find it. He just figured that he was missing it because it was dark, so he reached for the flashlight and looked again, but it still wasn't there. He sat back, angry and confused as hell. That's when he caught a glimpse of something silver and shiny caught between the floorboard
It was early morning when Della woke up back in the hospital wing. She panicked a little at first, fearing that she had been dreaming about her life over the last few weeks, and that she had been there the whole time. Had her life really all been taken away?? Was she really stuck in this chaos forever? She shot straight up in the bed, she was breathing heavily, and frantically looking around. Caine heard her stirring and he stood up from the chair that he was sleeping in by her bedside. He wrapped his arms around her and he kissed her on the top of her head while he gently rocked her. "It's okay lover, I'm here," he said gently, nuzzling his face in her neck, trying to calm her down. "Oh thank God," she said, as she started to cry, and she pulled him to her tighter. "I thought it was all a dream for a minute. I thought that I had never really found you again, and that I had been here in this damned hospital wing the whole time." "No baby, I'm here," he said, squeezing her with all
Mister was in a panicked tizzy, frantically trying to make sense of what was happening to him at the moment. He tried to get away from the presence and out of the bedroom door, but it was no use. There was something or someone holding him in place. He tried to fight it off but it seemed to be wrapped all around him. He couldn't move, hell, he could barely breathe, as the presence slowly moved him across the room, pushing him hard up against the wall behind him. "What do you want?" He was finally able to get out as his eyes filled with tears and his head started to swim. He knew for sure that he was about to pass out, and he was doing everything that he could think of to get free. "What do you want?" The raspy voice wheezed back on return to him in the dark."You were the one looking for me, yes?" The disembodied voice hissed at him with a hint of sarcasm. "Are you….her?" He managed to ask out loud to whomever his invisible torturer was. He suddenly felt the presence let him go and i
Little Ella was thoroughly pleased with herself at the moment. She still couldn't believe that she had actually managed to free that dragon all by herself. She goaded and taunted it for hours to make sure that she pissed it off real good, and then she sent it to kill Caine. She was carefully following orders to the letter. She did what she had to do, all the while she was praying that he was really going to reward her as well as he had promised. There was always a small part of her that knew that fae folk simply could not be trusted, but she had already convinced herself that there was no other way.She flew after Mister's prized dragon as fast as she could, but she was just too small to keep up. It was freezing cold outside at the moment and fairies just didn't do well in the snow. It caused ice to form on the inside of her wings which made them heavy and hard to move. It made her considerably slower, and she couldn't travel as far as usual without needing to stop and rest. She had ma
Mister was stuck in a complete state of shock and dismay over what he was reading in his great grandmother's diary. It was full of information, but most of the details he could have lived without. Apparently her aunt's name was Morana, and she was the second born on her father's side. She clearly had no blood rights to the crown, but would have been next in line before Esmeralda was born because there was no one left alive on her mother's side. Once he got past all of the preliminary events and early squabbles, he got to the meat of the story. He jumped into the story with both feet at that point, but by the time that he realized that he was never meant to read this...it was far too late, and he almost started to wish that he had never gone there.Apparently, after Princess Esmeralda had suffered a lifetime of fake love and mental torture, at the expense of the hands of her twisted aunt, Morana actually had the nerve to murder Esmerelda's mother and father to take the throne, or at le
The new queen sat emotionless through her parents' funeral, and again through her own coronation. She smiled and waved on cue, and she gave the speeches like she was supposed to, but she was really just stuck on autopilot. She was so consumed with guilt, and her plan to destroy her aunt, that she was completely lost to everything else in her life. She stopped cooking like she used to, and her gardens all died. She even withdrew from her family. That's when she had her little castle built on the back of the property and she began to spend her days and nights drinking wine and conspiring against Morana. Her sisters and her children would come and try to see her, but she was too far gone. Nobody could reach her anymore. Nobody. Her guilt and anger had all but swallowed her whole. And then the fairies all disappeared. That was the first sign of what was to come, but everybody was so busy trying to avoid her at this point, that they had all completely missed it. She hid herself from th
When Caine finally woke up, it was all over the castle and it's grounds that LeRoy the monster dragon... the very beast that was made from Mister's own DNA.. was dead. There were mixed rumors going around about the question as to weather Caine had lived or died, as well.It took a few good days, but Caine, Della and Deena were going to be okay, despite all the talk around the castle. They were in fact, very much alive, but they were sore and really just wanted to rest, so they decided not to address anyone yet and they did just that. They rested.Caine had asked Sadie and Kate to prepare Queen Rebecca's old rooms in the forest villas for them. He and Della, along with Jason and Deena, all piled up there for the soul purpose of being waited on hand and foot. He figured they deserved at least that much, especially after all they had been through lately. Jason had calmed way down and was now enjoying his stay, since the doctor said that both babies were going to be okay. He still though
It had been days since Pearl and Mister had fought about that book. She and Justin had been laying low in the caves waiting for Mister to come for them, but he never came. Food and supplies were becoming scarce and Justin was getting impatient. He spent his days pacing back and forth in the cave and muttering to himself about something that Pearl couldn't quite make out. It didn't take too long for her to get sick of it and begin to jump on him and nit pick every little thing into a fight. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" She shouted at him in utter frustration."Can't you sit your ass still?" She yelled at him again from the back of the cave where she had made herself as comfortable as she could. "I'm sick and fucking tired of starving Pearl!" He shouted back at her incredulously, with a pained look on his face."This is no fucking life! This is straight bullshit! Who lives like this?!" He said while he continued to scream back at her."Well what the fuck do you want me to do?" S
