It wasn’t Simon’s intention to overhear Alice’s conversation. He wanted to give her all the privacy, but the door hadn’t closed properly, as Alice thought. Alice spent most of the night staring at the ceiling long after Megan had joined her to sleep. Megan calling her name and shaking her to wake up felt sudden. Vincent was dying to have a dance with Alice. He couldn’t get his head straight after he saw her walk into the church. The dress was making him dizzy. The Garnet color was very bold. From behind it might look basic, but when she spins around, Vincent could only swallow hard or reach for his glass. He needed the liquid after catching a glimpse of her. The dress was floor length, long sleeve with a v neck. Her chest was not on display, but her legs were from the one slit in the dress. The gown was a perfect fit for her. The luxe double knit fabric was snuggly giving her body the right amount of display. Not too revealing, but still sexy. The material was stretchy. It was smoothing over her curves with minimal effort. Vincent had seen it when she moved. Megan and Alice were as high as the kites after smoking two strong joints. Giggling in the middle of the grapevine trellis while plucking out grapes. The distant music they heard once had faded away.
