The idea of marrying them, let alone werewolves, was ridiculous to her. She felt as though her heart was about to leap out of her chest as she stood up abruptly, her eyes wide with panic. She lunged for the door, but her attempt to escape was in vain as Lucien quickly caught her and pulled her back. She screamed and thrashed about, not caring that her already bandaged wound had started bleeding again.
She wanted nothing more than to get away from the triplets, and her desperation only grew as they held her tighter.
Orfilia's hands grasped for anything that could help her escape, and she threw whatever she could lay her hands on, hoping that she could create enough chaos to make a run for it. Her movements were frantic, and her breathing was ragged as she fought against the triplets, but they were too strong for her.
She kept struggling, not even caring that she was hurting herself in the process, but Lucien held on to her tighter and immobilized her with the help of his brothers.
Her voice was shaking, and her eyes were filled with fear and anger.
With one swift motion, he grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her back onto the bed. He held her tight as she struggled and thrashed around, trying to calm her down by speaking in a soothing tone, but his efforts seemed to be in vain.
His brothers came over to help, making her struggles start to weaken, Lucien slowly loosened his grip on her.
"Listen to us. We need you to hear us out first." He said authoritatively.
She closed her eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, but her mind was racing with too many thoughts and emotions.
While trying to steady her breathing, she felt a hand gently rubbing her back in a soothing manner. It was Liam's hand, and she opened her eyes to look at him, blinking severally.
Lucien took a deep breath and continued, "Right, we are werewolves. But YOU are our destined mate. We need you to help us break a curse that has been placed on us."
Orfilia's mind raced as she tried to comprehend everything. "What curse?" she asked, her voice low.
Lucien sighed, "OWe are under a curse for years. We have been searching for our mate, someone who can break the curse and release us from our wolf forms permanently."
Orfilia's mind was in chaos as she tried to wrap her head around everything.
"Why me? Why— what—”
Orfilia's body went limp as she slumped into Lucian's arms, overwhelmed by the weight of what she had just heard. Her mind struggled to process the idea of being their mate and the fact that they needed her to cure them from some curse.
Everything felt like a blur as she felt herself slipping away into unconsciousness once again. Lucien quickly caught her before she hit the ground and gently laid her back on the bed>
“Hey!" Liam tried to wake her
“Shit, we don't even know her name, " Lucas cursed under his breath.
Lucian immediately sprang into action, grabbing some water and fanning her face in an attempt to revive her.
Orfilia remained unconscious for a few minutes, her breathing shallow and erratic. The Fuller brothers exchanged worried glances as they watched over her, wondering if they had pushed her too far.
They couldn't risk their only mate and chance of curing the curse dying on them.
In a few minutes the doctor entered the room and approached Orfilia's bed to check on her wound. He carefully removed the bandages and examined the injury, gently probing it with his fingers. Orfilia winced in pain, but the doctor reassures her that he is being as gentle as possible.
He cleans the wound with antiseptic solution and then applies a fresh layer of gauze and bandages.

"Well, the gist is that the three of us, ever since we came into our wolves at the age of twenty-one, have had this weird condition. We’ve always been raging out every full moon, unable to control ourselves. We’ve hurt people and destroyed things, and we can’t keep living like this. So, we’ve been looking for a cure."
Orfilia, looking at him with furrowed brows, said impatiently,
"What condition? I still don't understand what you’re saying."
Liam put his hands in his pockets and leaned forward towards Orfilia. His gaze was steady on her.
Her shoulders tensed up and she shifted slightly in her seat.
She instinctively leaned away from his face, her body language suggesting that she was uncomfortable with his proximity.
Liam's body language was relaxed and casual, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“You're such an inpatient kitten, you know? He's explaining.”
Her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at him, her expression one of annoyance and frustration. She didn't appreciate the way he spoke to her, and his condescending tone only served to irritate her more.
Or was she overreacting?
Liam chuckled and continued to explain,
"At the age of twenty-one, all wolves come into their wolf as they turn. But because we’re in a modern society, we’re not advised to turn except if we’re far away from civilization. We can’t easily control our transformation or our rage on a full moon night."
Orfilia interrupted him, saying,
"I already knew that, that’s basic knowledge for everybody."
Liam then added, "But we’ve been informed that our mate could help us cure our wolves. And when we stumbled upon you after you were shot the night before and realized you were our mate, we decided to take you home with us."
Lucas chimed in, "And while you were unconscious, we pondered it and came to the conclusion that in order to explain the sudden appearance of a woman by our side every full moon, we should marry you."
Orfilia shouted at them, "Why the hell would you just decide marriage is the best option?! That’s a lifelong commitment!"
Lucas smiled and said, "Don't worry, the marriage is just going to last for six months or at least until we're fully cured."
Orfilia poundered for a while before speaking up,
What if you are not cured in that time frame?"
Lucas opened his mouth to respond, but Lucien spoke up, "We would let you go. We wouldn't hold you against your will."
Liam interrupted suddenly, "I was also wondering why you were shot and why you hopped into our car."
Orfilia's face scrunches up in anger at the question.
"That's none of your business."
Orfilia went silent as she tried to process everything that had just been said. She needed to do some quick thinking about their proposal and what she was going to do. She stared at the triplets, looking from one to the other, trying to figure out what to say. She knew she needed to make a decision, and it wasn't going to be an easy one.
"Fine, I'll marry you. But I want as much money and power that you can provide for me because I know you come from old money," she said, looking at them directly.
The triplets looked at each other, sharing a silent conversation.
Orfilia nervously twiddled her fingers and played with her fingernails as she looked down at them, seemingly lost in thought. She couldn't help but feel a sense of uncertainty and unease at the situation she found herself in. She had just agreed to marry three strangers and now the reality of the decision was setting in. She felt a knot form in her stomach as she realized the enormity of the commitment she had just made.
She couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right choice. She had asked for money and power, but was that really what she wanted? Or was it just a way to mask her own fears and insecurities?
She couldn't shake the feeling that she was in over her head.
“Fine then, you help us, and we want to help you in return. We will give you everything you could ever want or need.
Lucien suddenly stood up and dragged his chair closer to her, causing the wooden legs to screech slightly against the floor. He sat down on it, his gaze fixed on her face, and she couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine at his intense stare. She tried to lean back, but the back of her chair hit the wall behind her, leaving her trapped in place.
His eyes flicked over her face, his gaze taking in every feature, as if he were trying to read her thoughts. He leaned forward slightly, and Orfilia could feel his breath on her face. She instinctively held her breath, wondering what he was going to do next.
However, he merely spoke in a low, intense voice,
"But remember, there mustn't be feelings attached….”
His adam's apple bobbed up and down with each word. The movement was subtle, but it was enough to capture her attention. She found herself drawn to the movement, watching it with a certain subconscious fascination. It was almost hypnotizing, the way it moved in a rhythmic pattern.
For some stupid reason, she wondered what it would feel like to touch it, to run her fingers along the smooth skin. The thought caused a sudden flush to rise to her cheeks, and she quickly averted her gaze.
She chastised herself for letting her mind wander and refocused her attention on the conversation.
“You have to understand that we are not like other men. We have needs that only a mate mate can satisfy, and once you cure us, we will no longer need you in that way. We don't want to hurt you, and we don't want you to think that we are in this for any other reason than to be cured.
Orfilia was taken aback by the statement, trying to figure out if what they meant was what they were thinking.
“What….what do you mean? What do you mean by that?"
The triplets remain silent, not providing any further explanation.
Orfilia’s eyes scanned the contract that was placed before her, taking note of every word on the paper. She would glance up from time to time to look at the triplets sitting across from her, who all seemed calm and collected. Her eyes would drift over to the triplets, who were still watching her intently. She felt their eyes on her, which only made her feel more nervous. As Orfilia clicked the pen on the table, the sound echoed through the room. It was a sharp, staccato sound that seemed to punctuate each sentence of the contract she was reading. The clicking was persistent and rhythmic, almost like a metronome, creating a sense of tension in the room. Her eyes drifted back to the contract, and she read it again, taking in every detail. She knew that she was making a deal with the devil, but she had no other choice. She couldn’t back out now, even if she wanted to.Orfilia took a deep breath and placed the contract on the table in front of her, adjusting her grip on the pen. She hesit
A phone call interrupted their conversation. Liam picked it up and motioned for his brothers to be quiet. He frowned when he saw the caller's identity. It was Mark, their right hand man. Mark was tested and trusted, after working with them for years. Actually, he had worked for their parents and now, he was at the service of the triplets. Liam was confused as to what Mark was calling. They had already spoken earlier in the day and they had given him the instructions to carry out. “What is it, Mark? I'm actually really busy-"“Boss, there's a problem." Color drained from Liam's face and he sat upright in his chair.“What is it, Mark? What's going on?" His brothers noted the urgency in his voice and became alerted. “What is it?" Lucien asked him. Liam signaled for him to wait. He then put the phone on the loudspeaker. “Mark, talk to me! " “Boss, the warehouse has been attacked. All the goods have been destroyed and someone tried to set it on fire but luckily, we put it out on ti
“Don’t you think we should confront her to know what she heard?” Lucien asked after a few minutes of silence, running his hand through his wavy blond hair. “Do we need to?” Lucas was feeling irritated already. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re becoming attached to our dear Ms. Orfilia, Lucien.” “Lucien is right, Lucas.” We need to make sure she doesn’t feel hurt or feel unwanted enough to run away.” Liam pointed out.Lucas groaned. “Why would she? She’s going to get paid for her troubles, I don’t think she’s going to give that up.” “If we don’t make her feel comfortable, she’s going to leave. We need her, not the other way round.” Lucien added, slightly irritated at his brother. Liam straightened his suit as he sat down on the couch. “While we don’t know anything about her yet, if we want to gain her trust, we need to give her something in return. We can start by telling her what the doctor said about our condition and—“Lucas growled in a low menacing tone, cutting Lia
The moon hung high in the night sky, there was a full moon tonight and it cast an ethereal glow over the high-rise building next to the mildly dense forest surrounded by several mountains. Three werewolves emerged from below, making their way to the top of the mountain, their eyes blazing with fury and a fierce desire for revenge. Lucien, Liam, and Lucas were the leaders of the Fuller Pack with Lucien as the outright Alpha, their territory encompassing nearly half of the state’s land mass. The distress call from one of their subsidiaries had come in a little too late, by the time reinforcements had gotten there, there was nothing left. Every building had either been torn down or burnt. Dead bodies of different wolves littered every corner, the few who managed to survive wouldn’t survive the night. Lucien was beside himself with anger, he couldn’t believe the Dundalk Pack had declared war on the Fuller Pack and their allies. He had always ignored their advances, they were a small pa
“Fasten your seatbelt, miss.”Orfilia took a quick glance Mr. Gerald before doing as ordered. He sounded different from the jovial butler she had come to know him as. If the Fuller brothers had placed her in his care, it could only mean he was capable of protecting her. The black car, a sleek and powerful machine accelerated towards them, darting past the unsuspecting drivers, leaving a number of them startled as the car drove past them. “Hold on, miss.” Mr. Gerald said, gripping the steering with his white knuckles, as his face squeezed with determination focused on the road ahead. He stepped down hard on the accelerator, the engine roaring to life as he weaved through the cars ahead, eager to outrun the predator chasing them. The chase entered a whole new dimension as they raced into the city, both drivers shifting gears and taking their cars to the limit. Tires screeched on asphalt, as Mr. Gerald skillfully maneuvered his way through the populated streets, dodging cars and uns
The next morning, Orfilia comes down for breakfast but the brothers were absent as they had been the previous night. Mr. Gerald informs her of the brother’s apology for missing the build-up to the wedding but she doesn’t care. It was going to be a formal event right from the start, there were no feelings involved and she didn’t seem to care about their movements a tad bit. She had more pressing matters to focus on like what to do concerning the flash drive she had safely secured underneath her bed. She had decided she was going to make her first move sometime after the wedding, she needed all the security and influence she could garner, and being the mate to the Fuller brothers guaranteed that. She finished with her meal and retreated to her room for the entirety of the day, only appearing for dinner and she spent most parts of the night in the dressing room, sharing a bottle of wine and rolling in fits of laughter with the seamstresses and a couple of the servants from yesterday bef
Orfilia could feel her face and her feet hurting terribly, she had lost count of the number of guests the Fuller brothers had introduced her and she couldn’t see herself doing this for the next five minutes, there was every possibility that she might pass out. Unable to take it anymore, she mumbled an excuse about her hurting feet and excused herself from the midst of the newest dignitaries she was forced to hug and smile at and took a stroll towards the balcony, eager to get away from the crowd and noise inside the hall. As she moved further away from the hall and towards the balcony, she heard a loud noise which made her jump out of fright. She was left with either confronting whatever source the noise came from or going back into the hall to get acquainted with more people. She tentatively moved closer and she managed to see a man with broad shoulders which filled his suit perfectly, slapping a younger man, who wasn’t quite as beefed up as he was. She knew she was intruding on th
Orfilia and the Fuller brothers walked back into the house which was practically empty at this point. The guests had all taken their leave and only the servants remained, cleaning up the mess they had made. They made their way to the study and as soon as everyone made their way inside, Lucien shut the door immediately questioned Orfilia as to why she had been conversing with Alaric alone.“I don’t see how that’s anyone’s business. I am a grown woman capable of making choices for myself.”“You’re not just any woman, you’re a Fuller now, our mate. You need to be selective about the kind of people you’re seen in company with. Besides, of all people, both humans and supernaturals alike, why did it have to be Alaric?” Lucas pointed out, already feeling incensed. “And what is so bad about talking to Alaric? He seemed nice enough to me. At least, nicer than you have ever been towards me!” Orfilia retorted, her eyes blazing as she glared at Lucas who wore a scowl on his face. “Have you rea
