Chapter Eight

ARIA.

Killian and I soon arrived at the secluded depths of the beautiful garden, it was even way farther from the water fountain. I saw him from the distance, he lay there stock still, unmoving. The sight tugged at my heart and my wolf's whining got more and more intense.

He looked so feeble and his state was alarming. The moment I got close enough, his eyes fluttered open, weakly. He looked in my direction, and a feeble smile crossed his face.

"Hey! How are you feeling?" I asked, filled with worry. He didn't say anything but moved his eyes in another direction. I followed his line of sight and saw the urn that was placed on a nearby table.

I looked back at him again, wanting to ask what the urn was meant to do but he blinked, seemingly telling me that it would aid his recovery. I couldn't understand and looked back at Alpha Killian who still had a confused look on his face.

"What is he trying to tell us?" I asked, struck by the fact that his ailment was so serious he couldn't even spe
