Chapter 3: The new alpha

<span;>"Hey watch it." He screamed as he sped towards me, then pulled me to duck from the arrow thrown at me, with one swift of his sword, the enemy soldier's head was dancing on the floor.

<span;>My mouth dropped open, seeing how stupid I was, admiring him instead of fighting.

<span;>"Close your mouth and fight, instead of being a nuisance."

<span;>He said as he pulled from me and I watched as he swift his sword again, making the intestines of another fall out from his tummy.

<span;>The shock was written all over my face.

<span;>"Fight idiot." He yelled at me, for the second time, he had called me useless, but what in God's name is wrong with me, how could I forget what brought me here and fantasize about a man's handsomeness?

<span;>Another warrior charged towards him in anger but was too slow and he missed Stefan, the Swift of his caused the man to become armless, right now was in the middle of the warriors he was fighting like mad, with one hand holding his sword and the other spear, some he pierce with the spear while some he cut with the sword.

<span;>Not to forget, Leonid is holding the north firmly, he is a good soldier as well but right now, I will give him an eight on ten, he is no march for Stefan, right before my eyes, he was going to be attacked by another warrior from the enemy pack but someone was fast enough to pierce that warriors heart, as Stefan turned, he could see the warrior pummeled as he coughs out blood as if that is not enough, I watch his face brighten as he saw the figure that just saves him and to think is a girl.

<span;>For the first time in my life, I felt something possessed me, I became mad and was fighting madly, just maybe, I was jealous, jealous he smiled at a girl and that girl was not me.

<span;>Right now, he is running in the middle of the enemies keeping the sword and holding the spear in his two hands as he pierces anyone that comes in front of him, the girl is fighting side by side with him, they could make a good team, I sighed as the thought that I am might have started nourishing feelings for him right this very minutes but I am no match for him, I can be his mate and I will never be.

<span;>With the way he stared at her, is that of admiration, I am sure, that he is satisfied with her bravery, strength, and determination.

<span;>Is like he is blood-tasty, as right now, blood keeps falling from his clenched jaw and it's like that made him more handsome.

<span;>"Leonid, go get him while I go for Aida." He charged Leonid, I was surprised that, he would choose to save his step-sister and not kill the man who would have given him the crown, or maybe, he is not aware of the grand prize.

<span;>The swinging of the spear had caused many to fall to the floor, and he and his love, as I assume went to the cage where Aida was, both fight tirelessly as they gain entrance to the cage not after having the men guarding the cave fall to the floor by his spear with his foot he break the cage open and Aida run out and hugged him.

<span;>"Whoa! So they knew each other."

<span;>"Brother, I know you will come from me."

<span;>"If I don't come from you, who else will make me appear here?" Those were his words to Aida, when I turned I noticed that the Alpha was getting too strong for Leonid, so I decided to help him.

<span;>"You should go with Aida, go to a safer place with her, while I join him." It was going perfectly well when that stupid Alpha had to shift to his wolf, his mere sight scared me, yes, I have seen others in my pack shift to their wolf form but not as scary as this one in front of me. It was obvious I was doomed and I was going to be a big distraction to Leonid because he was trying to protect me.

<span;>He too shifts, but the Alpha wolf towers over him, but he doesn't mind, the Alpha wolf is no match for him, then he notices that all of them shift also. "No oh, this isn't good." I cried in my head as I noticed the sight before me.

<span;>"Don't be afraid I will protect you." He reassured me as he fought fearless, the wolf was going to attack me instead of Hunter, oh that is Leonid's wolf name, I thought it was my end as Hunter was crowded now but there came Stefan, I was expecting him to shift but he didn't, yet just one of his swift of the sword as taken the alpha legs off the floor. "Finish him." Stefan said as he turned his back, Leonid sank his fangs into his tummy and his teeth ripped through his shoulder as he brought out everything inside the alpha tummy, he howled in pain as he struggled to death and as soon as they saw that their alpha is down, we saw them retrieving but there is no room for that.

<span;>They were captured, and as we returned home, I was riding with Leonid and Aida at the front, she is just ten years old, I turned to look at him laughing with that same woman, I averted my gaze, as I remember he called me a liability.

<span;>After saving me, I mouthed the word thank you to him but he turned and looked at Leonid, "You shouldn't take liability to war".

<span;>Back in our pack, we could see fear had gripped them and they were all waiting patiently for us at the pack's main entrance, seeing the head of the alpha of the Shade grey pack everyone yelled in excitement

<span;>"Hail Stefan!!!"

<span;>''Hail Stefan!!!"

<span;>"Hail Stefan!!!"

<span;>I watch as Leonid's fist tightens, although the head was with him, they were singing the praises of Stefan, he hated the fact that the women had forgotten how he as always saved them but right now Stefan is their god, what do you expect anyone who saves you from your tormentor is your god and that is the position Stefan is, his praise his what is been sing and to think that woman is beside him.

"Leonid will be known in the history of the Shadow Moon Pack for his bravery and mighty for generations to come, today I proclaim my son, Leonid as the commander of the armies of the Shadow Moon Pack." Leonid's face darkens, I know he wanted, to be the alpha, he has been trained to be one, everything about him being a child, was deprived of him with the knowledge that he will be the next alpha after the old one. "I proclaim Stefan as the alpha of the shadow moon pack."
