After the encounter in the kitchen, Alex hadn’t seen much of Gabe for a couple of days but she knew that it wasn’t because he was avoiding her. She was glad that wasn’t the case. She hoped that things get even better between them, but before then, before whatever it was that would happen, she thought that it was better to tell her best friend about it. She had called her last night, but she couldn’t tell her on the phone. That wasn’t a phone conversation kind of talk, so she had told her that she needed to see her for something important, whenever she was available to see her, and Cara had asked them to meet in a coffee shop in town. Meeting like this two days in a row wasn’t what Alex expected but Cara had called her this morning that she had news. When she had, she had hoped that it had something to do with what they discussed yesterday and the fact that there was a change in everything she told her.
