Chapter 2 : Promise

"You're commanding me?" his brows furrowed while shaking his head. Kasunod niyon ay ang pagtawa ni Magnus na parang nakakaloko sa sinabi ko.

Shit! Ang tigas din ng panga ng lalaking 'to!

Hindi nagtagal ay kinabig niya ako papalapit sa kaniya and stare my eyes. Like, wtf? Ano ba kasing gusto nito. Hindi ko siya mabingwit, hindi ko siya mapasunod!

"Don't dare to provoke me, honey. Hindi ako madaling pasunurin." Ngumiti ito.

I forcely pushed him. Ayoko talaga sa mga lalaking ganito.

Tiningnan ko siya from his well-groomed hair and his black suit to his black pointed flat shoes.

Wala akong makitang mali sa kaniya, aside of his attitude of course.

"So what's the plan?" I said crossing my arms.

He bit smiled and sit in that marmol garden bench, hindi pa nga kami nakakapasok ay lantaran na niya akong tinutuka rito sa labas.

His guards are surrounding us, na parang walang nakita kanina. They're not even moving, para itong mga robot na nakatingin lang sa malayo.

"Listen, Vanna. I am Magnus, and as your parents proposed me..." tumaas ang kilay ko.

I didn't respond.

"I will take you not only to be my wife..." sabi niya na rason upang maghintay ako sa sasahihin niya.

Wearing my nude bodycon dress, with my red stilettoes, a high bun hair, and my fair light make up, I know that I am the reason why his face is astonished.

"Of course, you're special." Sabay lahad ng bouquet of flowers na agad ko namang tinanggap.

"And what's for the props?"

He hold my waist and reach my left ear.

"We need to go, I already asked them."

I bit distant myself to him and wear my 'are-you-sure' face.

"And?"

"They agree."

"Saan naman tayo pupunta?"

"Guess it." Sabi ni Magnus while holding my fingers.

Hindi ko talaga alam kung ano ang tumatakbo sa isipan ng lalaking 'to.

"What? Saan nga?" medyo iritable na ako, kahit ang totoo ay na-e-excite ako sa sinabi niya.

We start to walk, nang makita labasan ay nakita ko roon ang kaniyang mamahaling sasakyan. His expensive Ferrari that always makes the eyes of people turned.

"After you," pinagbuksan niya ako ng passenger's seat. He swing the door that obviously pulled up.

When I finally seated, he roam and go where the driver's seat. When he's already inside he firmly start the engine and check the mirror.

"Seatbelts." Narinig ko sa kaniya.

Agad ko namang ginawa 'yon.

"Ready?" tanong niya habang tinitingnan ang mukha ko.

"Yes." I answered.

He start to ignite the engine and we filled ourselves with excitement and rush. I know that it won't long for some time, pero ang alam ko lang ay simula ngayon, I will rely to this dumb-ass man knowing that he will hold those promise.

My freedom.

Tanaw ko ang kalsada kung saan kami papunta.

All I see is the road going to that seaside vibes. I'm not familiar in here, lalo pa't matagal na rin akong hindi nakakauwi sa pilipinas.

I don't know, but my heart is overflowing with some butterflies, my heartbeat skip a second when Magnus hold my left palm.

"Vanna," he said without looking into my eyes.

"In a long time, I don't say promises that I won't do. Lahat tinutupad ko." Tanaw ko ang mukha nito.

Even he's looking infront of that particular road, I know that he is telling the truth. His warm palm and baritone voice is enough to know that he is sincere.

I keep a smile in my face and said, "Great. That's great!" I don't know, but that word came up in my mind without realizing if it suits to his promise. For the first time, magtitiwala ako sa isang lalaki na gaya niya.
