Chapter 4

You come to my city and have demands.” The Don said. “Please tell me, how is your father? That waste of werewolf bowed to me.” He said laughing like he told a joke. He watched Bobby he wasn’t sure if Bobby was seriously trying to get himself killed or if he was the Alpha, he didn’t smell like it but he was acting like he was.

I am in charge now.” Bobby snapped at him. “That is why I am here; you and your goons are going down.” He said folding his arms across his chest. He watched the movement behind him, and to the side. Everyone was starting to get pissed. It was what Bobby wanted. When you’re angry, you make mistakes.

We’re going down?” He said laughing. “You are funny Bobby; you are more telling than your father.” He said shifting in his seat. “You have some balls coming in here trying to tell me how things are. You have two things wrong here. One you are outnumbered here, and two I am in charge here.” He leaned back in his chair lighting his cigar. “So, tell me Bobby how is the old man?”

My father was weak,” Bobby growled. “Are we going to play games tonight, or are you going to give me my daughter?” He looked around; Ryan was pacing around in the back getting more impatient he was bound to do something stupid; this was making Bobby excited. He was going to try and take Ryan out before he dies. That was Bobby’s goal, at least before his last breath.

Oh, so all business.” He said rolling his eyes. “Here.” He said throwing a phone at him. “Answer it when it rings.” Don watched Bobby squirm around in the chair, he knew Bobby was expecting an ambush, it was something Don and Ryan were planning to do, but they had to wait until the last possible moment. He was also hoping Bobby was stupid enough to fall for this fake conversation before the ambush happens.

The phone rang. Bobby looked down at the number trying to remember it. “Hello?” he said looking around.

Daddy!” she whined on the phone.

Bobby’s eyes looked at Don he smiled at him. Bobby listened to the girl on the other end of the phone. He wasn’t sure if it was his daughter since he didn’t know what she sounded like he half believed it to be her. “Abby?” he snapped. “Where are you?”

I, uh I don’t know.” She said on the phone. Someone smacked her taking the phone away and hanging upon him.

Bobby tossed the phone at Don, he was beginning to get pissed, he could feel his wolf coming forward, he wanted to let it come forward. He could tear everyone to pieces, that would end a lot of the headaches and it would make him happy. “Tricks?” Bobby snapped. “Get her here now, or I’ll kill you and eat your heart like promised,” Bobby said getting up. His eyes turned red.

Calm down Bobby.” The Don laughed. “If anyone is going to die tonight, it will be you and then your daughter.” He said leaning back in his chair. “Now tell me where should I send your body after you’re dead?” he challenged.

I’m not dying DeMarco!” he growled pulling out his gun, pointing the gun at the Don. “Now tell me, where is she?” he said giving him one last warning, his anger was making him lose sight of everything going on behind him. He was getting careless and not paying attention and that was one thing you should never do. He was leaving his back open and defenseless.

With a click of a gun, Bobby knew someone had their gun pointed at him. He was going to die tonight so was the Don, this family would be in shambles, he didn’t care. At least he didn’t die from his father’s word, but his own.

Now what Bobby?” The Don questions. “You’re a cocky son of a bitch, but outnumbered. Why don’t you put your gun down and I will allow you to walk out of here, with a couple of bullets. We’ll leave you somewhere, and if your men could find you in time, then you just might live.” He said puffing on his cigar. “I will just kill you and you won’t even get a funeral and we will let your body rot at the bottom of the Hudson river if you want?” he said with a smile on his face. “Your choice.”

Bobby glance over his shoulder, he would take as many as he could, whether they killed him or not he didn’t care at this point, he was pissed beyond anything. His wolf was coming out and would protect him from the bullets. “Or I can take a chance, kill you and try and kill as many as I can of this pig family.” He said pulling the trigger, he hit him in the chest.

Two men fired on Bobby; he went down. The pain from the bullet hit like a train. Bobby went down, Ryan walked over to him. His gun still drawn on him, Ryan had a smile on his face. Bobby felt the silver enter his bloodstream. “Son of a bitch.” He spoke.

You’re dying Bobby!” Ryan said kicking him hard in the stomach.

Bobby felt his werewolf wanted out, so he closed his eyes and let the wolf take over. Bobby got to his feet and attacked two of the men closest to the door. They tried firing on him but missed him because his wolf reflex was super-fast.

Getting to his car, he took over. He was still bleeding pretty badly. He pulled his phone out. “Mico, I need you.” He said out of breath. He didn’t want to die there, he needed to heal but they used silver on him. That shit hurts and is almost always deadly. Bobby had a small chance since he had Alpha blood.

Mico looked over Bobby, he was already bleeding out. Mico called Vince and was told to take Bobby to the hospital since it was silver if he was unable to remove the bullets because if Bobby dies then the family wouldn’t be able to recover and that wouldn’t be good. “Already here,” Mico said walking over to the car.

Bobby opened the door, “drive.” He said getting in the back seat. He tried digging around in the wounds to find the bullet, but he was starting to lose consciousness.

Bobby! Bobby! Don’t fucking leave me!” Mico growled.

Bobby kept trying to get the bullets out, but he was going numb, so he wasn’t sure he was feeling anything but his flesh. He was starting to see darkness; he was starting to sweat. He wasn’t sure if he was even conscious anymore. “I don’t think I’m making this Mico.” He mumbled.

Fuck!” he growled, closing the door and heading to the nearest hospital. He knew he wasn’t going to lose his Boss. Bobby would have to understand he didn’t have a choice. He had to save him.

Mico drove as fast as he could, he wasn’t sure if Bobby was still alive. He barely heard his breathing. “Fuck Bobby stay with me!” he said pulling the door open. “Doctor now!” he hissed.

Mico grabbed Bobby out of the back seat. He was glad he was a wolf too, Bobby was a big man, heavy but he managed. He was able to get him to the entrance of the ER before someone saw him and brought him a gurney and helped him get Bobby on it before Mico collapsed.

Put him here.” A male voice said. “Wait here, we will get him stable. Gunshot wounds?” Mico looked down at Bobby before they wheeled him away, he didn’t look good. He was afraid they weren’t going to be able to save him. He hoped his wolf could save him from the silver. He didn’t want to say goodbye.

Yep,” Mico said before allowing them to take Bobby from him. He paced the floor until the Doctor came out to tell him they stabilized him. Mico wanted to see him, but the doctor said

Bobby was in and out of Consciousness. An aroma tickled Bobby’s nose. Something about the smell made him want to get up and follow it. He wasn’t sure where he was, he could only make out a few small details. A beautiful woman came around him, his wolf started going crazy, but he was too weak to react.

Stay with me.” She whispered. She was gentle with everything she was doing. Bobby could hear Mico pacing back and forth.

He tried to speak but nothing came out of his mouth. He laid there like he was dead; he could hear his heartbeat. He wasn’t sure what was happening.

When the woman brushed up on him, he instantly felt her. “Mate.” He whispered before losing consciousness again.
