SELENA’S POVAfter I left Alpha Duncan’s tent that night, I returned to my tent and sank down on my bed, my thought racing.That was the first time we’d had a real conversation, one that wasn’t just surface level banter. SELENA’S POV“Selena!” Alpha Duncan yelled as he ran over to me. “What is wrong?” Are you alright?”Her eyes were filled with anxiety as she turned to face me.“I….I’m not sure," she said. “All I remember is that I was taking a walk in the forest to clear my head and I saw a strange figure walking towards me and then he tried to attack me.“He tried to hurt you?” Alpha Duncan asked, concern evident in his voice.“Yeah, and so I had to protect myself,” I said, my voice wavering.“He was a rogue werewolf who was sent by other rogue werewolves that attacked the surrounding town. They knew we were heading to the surrounding towns to support them with whatever they needed and so he was sent to spy and so when he saw me and that I had seen him, he tried to hurt me.He kinda recognized that I was a member of the pack and so he tried to attack me.He looked serious and said, “You can’t just run into the forest at night all in the name of ‘I wanted to take a walk’ thing.” He said twitching h

ALPHA DUNCAN'S POVAfter the meeting in the council chamber ended. I looked at Selena and smiled and I was surprised that she smiled back at me. I guess this might be the start of something new between us.I walked out of the council chamber and returned to my office. As I sat down to reminisce about what happened today and the result of the meeting, Muna walked in obviously angry.“Why are you helping her Alpha?” She lashed out.“Muna, I don’t know what you mean, by helping her.” I said.“I mean why are you allowing her speak when she is not yet the future Luna of our pack. Selena's POVAfter the meeting, I returned to my room exhausted after the long and stressful day, I slumped on my bed.As I lay on my bed, the thought of the meeting came to my mind as I remembered how Alpha Duncan publicly accepted my idea. On one hand, I was glad that my idea to organize community events was being considered by the council members.I felt that it was a step towards bringing the Pack together and fostering a sense of unity.She also understood the council members’ concerns about the rogue werewolves taking advantage of the gathering. They were right, we needed to be cautious and ensure the pack’s safety.When Alpha Duncan addressed the concerns, proposing security measures to protect the pack during the events, she felt relieved. His ideas were practical and showed that he genuinely cared about the safety and well being of the pack.What was this feeling she felt every time he stared at her and smiled?Was she already falling for the man she hated? We’ll start by figuring out theme for the party, and then we’ll work from there.
