CHAPTER 18 - TERRORS

-RAINA’S POV-

"How could you do this to us?!"

My shrilling voice echoed in my head like a broken record. The annoying repetition pounded my cranium. Everything around me was a gloomy veil. Brooding silhouettes of the enemy stood tall.

Death’s red ink soaked the earth’s floor. I was on a plane of darkness, of death. Black grainy mist permeated the air where wolves could no longer abide.

This mournful plain rendered sadness on a platter. The tragedy devoured me. Nevertheless, all my kind who experienced the negative ether of this world had bound their hearts and souls to that of Earth's realm as I witnessed souls rising from bodies, thinning out, before vanishing. Hidden was the light. There is no gateway to rebirth. As the black gritty mist ate away at the body's flesh, the white bones fell back to the ground. The apex predator has brought genocide.

It was suffocating. My throat was clogged like a toilet. Even a cough was hard to escape. My heart bled.

My hand covered my mouth as
