Ava
I sat on the wet ground holding the lifeless body of my mate. The tears have dried and refused to come out anymore. I didn't know what to do anymore. The goal I had changed after I met my mate.“ You fucking out sider. I have lost my family because of you,” I heard Max screaming. I knew someone was holding him down or else he would have killed me by now.The lycan warrior arrived a little too late but I was glad that they saved the alpha Alexandre.I caressed my mate's cheek and ran my fingers through his hair as a lone tear rolled down from my eyes. I should have let him mark me. I should have accepted him. I should have told him that I had always liked him, but it was too late now I thought looking at his face.“ I will make them pay, zade. I swear,” I muttered under my breath. Whoever responsible for this Massacre will have to pay with their lives.Looking up I saw the lycans have almost cleared everything. Then my eyes fell on Abigail and a heart wrenching scream left my mouth. Why moon goddess? Why? Where have I gone wrong to go through this pain? I asked her in my head.“ Ava,” Alexandre said in his hushed voice. Looking at him I saw him crouching down to my level before he patted my shoulder.“ Let's go, Ava. It's too late now,” he said.“ Alpha,” I sobbed , unable to form any words.“ I know dear. But we both know that we can't bring them back no matter how much we grieve.”“ If Abigail was still around she would have said the same thing, dear. I lost my son and my mate Ava. It pains me to even think that when I enter the pack house my mate won't be there to welcome me,” he said, his voice breaking at the end.I can't let him break down. He has lost his world and yet he came to me.“ What I am gonna do now, father,” I said. It was the second time I called him that. I always wanted to call Abigail mom as she always wanted but I couldn't do it out of shyness.“ Ava, we have to go. You have to go,” he said, coming closer as he wiped my tears away.“ I don't want to go anywhere,” I said, shaking my head.“ No, baby you have to, the lycan king demanded your presence,” he said.“ What?” I was stunned for a moment to hear his words. What on earth would a lycan king want to do with me?“ You ruined everything,” Max said and looking over Alexandre’s shoulder I saw he had calmed down but there was a storm brewing in his eyes.“ Max!!!” Alexander's voice booked and he went deadpan before a man took him away.“ Baby girl, do you trust me?” He asked and nodded my head through tears.“ Then listen to me. You have to go with him,” he said, grabbing both of my shoulders.“ Alpha Alexandre. The king wants to know why you are delaying? And he asked me to tell you that he hopes that you didn't forget the cost of saving your pack,” the man said, i didn't look at him i could tell that he is a powerful one with the aura radiating from his body.“ Please, let me have some time with my daughter,” Alexandre said. I didn't have to be told to understand what was going on. The look on Alexandre’s face was enough to know the situation. The alpha king wants me in exchange for him saving the pack, so I repeated these words in my head.“ I will meet him after the funeral,” I said letting him know my decision.“ Ava,” Alexandre's voice broke as a year slipped from his eyes. Looking at him I smiled letting him know that he shouldn't feel guilty at all.“ Father, I will do as you say but after the funeral,” I said and he nodded his head.“ Miss,” someone said, standing next to me as he waited for me to let go of zade’s body. I looked at the man and then at zade finally kissing on his forehead I said my goodbye. I looked at the man who gently took Zade's body in his arms and carried him until I could no longer see him.Alpha Alexandre helped me stand up and led me into the pack house.“ Father, you should clean up,” I said, trying hard not to cry in front of him as he was already broken enough already.“ Ava,” he called as soon as I ascended the stairs. I stopped and turned around to look at him.“ Nothing, baby,” saying as he turned around and walked away towards his room.I went to the guest room that I have been staying in and locked the door. Leaning against the wooden door I let my heart out. After a few moments I straightened myself thinking about Abigail. She never would want to see me in this state. Then I remembered her words ‘no matter what happens don't look back’.Her words were left unsaid. And now I have this feeling that she might have known something. She might have seen this coming and a lot of questions were swirling in my head to be answered. After I calmed down I went straight into the bathroom. And striping from whatever left on my body I stepped into the shower. Standing under the warm water I closed my eyes, hoping that it might help my nerves to calm down as I yet to meet the lycan king. After I was done I dried myself and went to the closet. I wore a black knee length dress and let my hair fall on my back. I made my way to the living room and out of the pack house where I saw a black SUV was standing right in front of the pack house.“ Miss,” the chauffeur said, bowing his head.“ Let me take you to the cemetery ground,” he said.“ I can go by myself,” I said, walking past him at a fast pace. The funeral ground wasn't far away and right now the least thing I want is any kind of favour from the lycan king. Who knows he might ask something in exchange of helping me.Reaching the ground I saw alpha and max were already there with our remaining pack members as well as the lycans. I took my seat next to Alpha Alexandre.I felt weird all of a sudden and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. That's when a cold wind blew making me shiver but I was hit by an irresistible scent. It was a mixture of sandalwood and fruity-floral.“ Let's begin,” a man said in his deep and dangerous voice. I could feel that his eyes were on me but I didn't turn to look at him. He took his seat behind mine. After the burial, we sat there quietly. I was looking at the picture on the tomb. It was Zade's. My heart kept breaking in thousands of pieces remembering that he lost his life only to save mine.I clenched my jaw, balling my fists in anger. They will not receive an easy death, I promised them.“ It's time,” the man spoke and I could feel that he stood up and walked back.Alpha Alexandre started panicking as he stood up immediately.“ Ava, my doll, if you don't want to go you don't have to. I promise I will find a way,” he said as he crouched down in front of me holding my hand like a caring father that he is.“ I want to do this,” I said.“ I want to move on and if I stay here I will not be able to do that,” I said in a low voice. Max sneered hearing my words.“ Ava, the king….. he said that you….. you…..“ What did he say?” I asked.“ We have to leave,” a man said and I turned to look at him only to find out that it was the man from earlier who came to remind Alpha Alexandre about the deal. Alexandre nodded his head at him before he hugged me.“ Ava, don't ever show your necklace to anyone. It was a blessing and many people are trying to find you. If anyone sees the necklace it wouldn't take any second guess that they will find you,” he whispered in my ear.“ I know this isn't the way I had planned to send you but if you ever hear that I am no more, go to your house and find the painting of your mother,” he added. What did he mean by that? I am not going to lose him too, the pack will be torn to pieces.“ What did you mean by that? No, I am not going anywhere,” I declared. And then I heard the loudest growl ever. It sounded like thunder rolling in the sky. I knew who it was without looking.“ No!!!” I screamed when I felt a pair of arms around my waist pulling me away from Alexander. This was the second time I saw him crying looking at me as he looked helpless. Max was clenching his jaws as he looked ready to fight but he didn't.“ If you want to see them alive, stop fighting,” he said in his deep voice. And I stopped struggling in his firm and strong hold. A tear rolled down my cheek looking at the family that I had known after my parents.Gideon“ Fuc*,” I cursed as soon as the car reached the blue moon packs territory. The stench smell of rogues hit my nostrils. They were one step ahead of me.“ Highness,” Daro said as soon as he pulled the car through the main gate of the pack.Opening the door of the car I got out and immediately my body went stiff when a pleasant scent but it was mixed with blood made my mind almost clouded. I knew what it was and I knew what it meant. After all these years.“ Your highness,” Daro said, pulling me out of my trance.“ Mate!!!” My lycan and me both declared before rushing towards the scent.“ Sh*t,” I heard daro, cursing following me behind as well as a few of my men. please be all right, i sent a silent prayer for her well being because running through the mass destruction that they created was enough for anyone to think that there is no one alive. My heart pounded violently in my chest when I reached the spot and owner of the scent. They were brave and fought with the lycan and the
AvaThe ride to his Kingdom was tiring and all I did was staring out of the window. I didn't even notice when the car stopped.“ Miss Anderson,” the man named Daro said, clearing his throat. I looked at him in a question.“ We are here,” he said, his voice calm and soft. I was about to get out of the car when the door of my side opened suddenly, making me startled.Looking up I saw the Lycan king was holding the door open for me while one of his hands was extended for me to take. This was the first time I am looking at his face and not just his face I am looking at him. He looked like someone carved him out of a stone. He is tanned with sharp and defined jaws his eyes are the colour of Amber. He looked nothing less than a god but he looked kind of scary just like we have all heard about him, a ruthless killing machine.I stared at him before I got out of the car avoiding his hand. I wasn't interested in his help in any way he had done more than enough.I heard him saying something to
Gideon“ It's better to be something important,” I said as I walked around the oak table before sitting down.“ Our men found something in Miss Ava's house,” he said.“ What is it?” I asked, raising my one eyebrow.“ It's a jewellery box but no one has been able to open it,” he said.“ Ava's name was written on the side of the box with something else,” he added. I waited for him to continue as he looked nervous. I tapped my fingers impatiently on the table.“ Susan was written on the other side of the box,” he whispered. I felt like I was frozen in my spot hearing his words.“ Impossible,” I breathed out. It can't be true. No, it is impossible. Everyone in the supernatural world knows that they were killed and a large number of people witnessed their death as well.“ She is a human, Gideon,” my Lycan zender said.“ But the box,” I replied.“ Where is the box now?” I asked. If anyone with a bad intention finds out they will miss use whatever was lying inside of that box.“ They will br
AvaI didn't know when I fell asleep on the couch but a warm touch woke me up.“ Sleep,” he said.“ No,” I answered in my half sleeping state.“ Don't you know anything better to say other than no?” He asked, lifting me up in a bridal style from the couch.“ I don't want to sleep anymore,” I said quietly. He carried me to the bed and made me sit on the edge of the mattress.“ Suit yourself,” he said, walking away as he started unbuttoning his shirt on the way to the bathroom. I watched as he removed the cloth from his body before tossing it to the laundry basket which was placed by the door.“ You can take a shower,” he said, stopping at the threshold. I saw how his back muscles were flexing as he looked at me over his shoulder. But I was more fascinated by the huge tattoo on his back. It covered his back fully.“ No way,” I answered. Looking at him narrows my eyes.“ After me, my queen,” he said, chuckling as he went in shaking his head. The sound of his chuckle made me giddy.I shoul
Ava“ Ava?” Jenny came rushing to me seeing me sitting there as a silent sob escaped from my lips.“ Wh- what just happened?” She asked, standing beside me, rubbing my back soothingly.“ Where did you go?” I asked, looking at her through my blurry vision.“ I went to the kitchen to make coffee for you,” she answered.“ What exactly happened? What did you say to his highness?” she asked, looking at me with confusion.“ I don't know. He asked me if I wanted to have something specifically and I said no,” I told her. She sighed, shaking her head.“ Well, do you want something, now?” She asked.“ No, I lost my appetite,” I said.“ Come with me,” she said and waited for me to follow her.I stood up from my chair and followed her as she led me towards the hallway that was next to the kitchen. I didn't say anything nor did she.We walked until we reached the end of the hall and in front of a door. She pushed the door open and I was immediately hit by soft sunlight of the morning followed by t
GideonI cursed when Peter informed me about the hybrid's arrival when I was about to kiss her. Fu*k, it is damn difficult for me to focus when I see her like that in the changing room.I didn't want to burge in but her absence made me worried for a second and before they informed me where she was, I was already there. Ava came out of the changing room wearing her clothes and now looking at her I saw she was wearing my shirt. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes. I could sense that he was coming near. Opening my eyes I looked at her before taking her hand in mine.“ Let's go,” I said and began to walk out of the store.“ Bring the car,” I said to Peter through the link.“ Majesty, I forgot my necklace in there,” she said, as she stopped.“ We will get another one,” I said and wanted her to follow me but she broke her hand free from my hold and looked at me in disbelief. I can't take the risk to expose our relationship just yet. I haven't marked her yet and it is highly dangerous for
Gideon I ran downstairs with rage. zender was clawing to get out. He wanted to mark her but I couldn't let that happen now. She will hate me for that rest of my life.Daro was already waiting for me in the living room and when he saw me he stood up. But I ran past him tearing my clothes as I shifted mid air.“ Your highness,” Daro called but it was too late. I run towards the forest away from Ava. I needed it badly after my encounter with Andrew.“ Daro, increase the guards of the palace. And tell a few warriors to stay put on the ground outside of my window,” I said through the link.“ Where are you?” He asked.“ Forest,”“ You need to get back, Gideon,” he said.“ I will in a while,” I said before dropping the link. I stopped reaching the peak of the mountain where no one enters. This was found by my mother and now it has become my private spot.I have built a villa inside the cave and most of it was created with magic. The bedroom has a spectacular view of the moon at night. The ba
Ava“ Thank you for the dinner,” Gideon said looking at me but I knew from his voice that it wasn't Gideon who was talking to me.“ You are his Lycan,” I said, and his eyes changed in a flash of a moment. He chuckled before looking at me again with his black orbs which reminded me of the calm and stormy night.“ Aren't you afraid of me, little one?” He asked. His voice was velvety but husky which was laced with lust.“ No,” I said honestly.“ Can we talk, little one?” He asked again. He is being so gentle with me like I am fragile and delicate.“ You are, my love,” he answered my unspoken question. My eyes went wide staring at him. Did he just read my mind? I asked myself.“ Yes I did,” he said with a smile on his lips. I narrowed my eyes on him because I don't like it.“ I won't do it again,” I said.Without saying a word he walked towards the bed with me in his arms and sat down on the mattress.“ Let me go,” I said, as I wanted to free myself from his hold.“ No!” His voice was low
