Willa's POV
"Clean it up in here." The Alpha said coldly before he grabbed my wrist and led me to a room on the first floor. Granny and Natasha followed us.
James got on with it right away while Ethan attended to the table.
"Natasha, go and clean the mess you made," The Alpha turned before we reached the door of the study.
"I have to talk to you," Natasha said in a haste.
"I know what you want to say, and no, it won't change my decision. Now, go!" Alpha Kirsch Alpha Kirsch's eyes glimmered. I flinched at the sudden dominating vibe, and Natasha stiffened.
He used the Alpha Aura. It inflict pain and no member of the pack could resist it. Natasha turned around stiffly and left.
He opened the door for me, hinting me to go in. I hesitated and glanced at granny. She nodded.
I followed the Alpha into the room, having no idea what to do now. I didn't have my potion.
"Did she choke you?" Alpha Kirsch kept his distance th
I really enjoyed interactions between Willa and Kirsch
Willa's POV I stared into his eyes in fear, couldn't get my head around. How could he even know visiting the sea was my plan. Could he really read thoughts?! "Yes, Alpha," I muttered, and in my head, countless plans of visiting the sea were already forming. "Good." He nodded, "Any other questions?" "Can you read minds?" I blurted, only to realize that it was dangerous of me to ask him if he was. But I needed to make sure my enemy wasn't telepathic if my sole plan was to hide things from him? He stared at me for a moment before he laughed: "That would be cool." He was really handsome when he smiled. He stood up and got an empty glass from a tray on the cabinet before he handed it to me with an apologetic look, "This part might be a little uncomfortable." I took the glass, feeling a little stunned. This was the part I hated the most in pledging. The alpha gets your blood into his system and completes the p
Willa's POV When I woke up it was already late at night. I was in a cozy bedroom. Granny was sitting on the chair by the bed. "Granny!" I jerked up in bed, only to have darkness consuming the world again. Head rush... "I asked him if we could live in the forest, but he refused." Granny came and sat on the bed, taking me into her arms as my head spun fast. Turned out the Alpha gave us an old two-story house downtown. Close to everything, furthest to the border. Granny wasn't happy because we always lived by the edge of the pack. It was easier to escape when cases like with Liam happens. Meaning if I let my secret out, we'd have the least chance to make out of the huge pack before they kill us. "The alpha gave you the first week off, to settle down." Granny stroked my hair and took away the glass. "From training? I can train, it's fine." I shrugged. I didn't want to get special treatment, because it only meant attention.
Willa's POV "No! Your wolf WILL wake up! That's not what I meant, silly!" Granny took me into her arms and patted me on the back, "I promise!" I stared long into granny's eyes before I relaxed. It was my deepest fear. "You scared me! Why are you asking me all these weird questions all of a sudden!" I wiped my tears as I protested, "You told me to stay away from alphas!" "I'm sorry I scared you, Willa...Everything will be fine, I promise." Granny stroked my back, tightening her hug as she put my head in her neck. Her hug gave me security. I lost count of how many times I had escaped death by hiding in her arms. Granny NEVER talked about mate with me before Liam. And all of a sudden it was all she could think of?! Granny never discipline me on any horrible decisions I made, but there was ONE thing that she insist on. No boys, no sex. As if anyone would even like me if I WAS open to relationships-- I was th
Taran's POV I was the cursed wolf, the one that moon goddess couldn't pair with a mate. I had accepted my fate a long time ago. I found my mate today. Sometimes we hunt under the snow mountain where few people went to. All of a sudden Cerberus picked up a scent and started running crazy. Cerberus was my wolf. He finally stopped after dashing into a meadow, and I saw the cutest girl I had ever laid my eyes on. She was in a red cloak. [Mine!] Cerberus growled impatiently. It was the first time I lost control over him in years. But I understood why. He had been waiting for his mate even when I had lost all hope. But the horrified look on her face froze my blood. She was afraid of me. Of course she was afraid of rogues, and that included me. Cerberus felt hurt when she charged at us and I barely managed to pull him away. I fled the pack, not sure what to make of it. I wasn't supposed to have a mate.
Willa's POV "I'm really sorry!" The man blurted, turning around with his back turned to me. For real?! I had a knife in my hand and he just turned around? I could have hurt him! I wrapped my cloak around myself, but it only reached half my thigh. I hugged the cloak tight with one hand, so I had to take my knife in the wounded one. "Who are you?!" I blushed as I called to him. He turned around cautiously, eyes darted to my knife. Was he a rogue?! That was my first thought. I sniffed the air slightly, but unlike rogues, he smelt clean and fresh, like autumn aspens after a thunderstorm. The moon cast a soft shine on him as if he was the center of the world. His dirty blonde hair was messy on top with an undercut, and the long fringe curled a little by his eyes. He was in a white shirt, but he didn't bother to button up to the highest one. I didn't allow my eyes to stop on his bare chest for too long, but I did see
Willa's POV [Why did you come back?] I asked granny as she companied me in the direction of the pack. [I saw a man through the mind link. Why didn't you tell me about him?] Granny walked slowly beside me. She saw him after all. [I can handle him if he wanted to hurt me. I didn't want you to worry!] I burst into laughter. [He's weird, stay away from him.] Granny suddenly warned me. Weirdly handsome and enchanting! [Why weird? Just because he came to the sea at night?] I came to the sea at night. Well, I guess I WAS also weird. [He has the aura of an Alpha, but something was off about him.] Granny said slowly, drowning in deep thoughts. [An Alpha?! Maybe we can join his pack next!] I almost jumped for the excitement. [I just told you to stay away!] Granny shot me a glare. I grunted in frustration. [Relax...He didn't even want to let me know his pack's name, I can't get close even if I wanted to.] I
Willa's POV I woke up on my own bed, didn't even know how I got there. I must have dozed off in the Alpha's arm. Last night was so dreamy that it didn't feel real. But I knew it was real because it left a sting. [Willa, how did you sleep?] Granny mind linked me and I put it through right away with an apology. [I'm sorry I ran off last night, granny.] I had never argued with granny like that, but I had messed up enough times to practice my apology. [I understand. I'm trying to locate the Alpha from last night.] Surprisingly, granny answered gently. I almost mistook her as Antonia. [No need! It was just a stupid crush.] I blushed. He had a mate! What could I do even if I found him? [Are you sure? I mean, you might like it if we move to his pack.] Granny asked with a serious tone. To watch him being with another? I might turn Natasha-mode. No thanks. [Maybe it's the goddess way of telling me I don't belong to anyone.] I si
Willa's POV I decided to stock on the material of my potions. Granny made me potions for two whole weeks and we were short of the materials. Cattail seeds, barley, and lemon leaves, all common stuff. I was turning on my last corner when I saw from the corner of my eye that a dark shadow flickered through the small woods on my left. Leave it be. I needed to steer clear of trouble as much as I could! I took a deep breath, trying to resist the urge to go and check, and it was that deep breath that got me in trouble-- I smelled blood. I guess smelling blood in a wolf pack was not strange as the sun rising up from the west, but it smelled close, and curiosity got the best of me. Just take a look, and if anything serious happened, I'd just call for help and leave. I promised myself as I took the right turn-- Which was the wrong turn obviously. The moment I set foot into that alley, I not only smelled more blood but al
