Chapter 17: "It's time to wake up, we need to leave."

"Can you see me, Scarlett?"

I turn and giggle because I can't. Hunter has plunged me into darkness with the blindfold and his voice is the only thing leading me to him.

"Come Scarlett."

That voice has changed.

I burst out of sleep with a start and take in my surroundings.

The room is dark. Pitch black and illuminated only by the shimmer of the moon coming in through the windows.

This is not my room. Maya's not here, but I recognize these surroundings. This is Alpha Roman's room.

At the mention of his name, my memories start flowing back like a stream.

I asked to be the one who drove the car.
