CHAPTER 18

ALPHA KANE POV

The next place we went to was a shop owned by a witch. A real life witch and Savannah told me that she could feel the power coming from the shop before we even got there. That’s how we knew that it was real.

It didn’t stop us from going inside though. And Savannah messed with the shop owner, just as much as last time. The witch looked scared and worried and watched us so closely while we were in there.

But she was mostly watching Savannah for some reason. I looked over and I saw Savannah looking at some necklaces hanging on the side wall. She wasn’t moving or smiling or anything. She was just staring at the necklace and the witch was watching her just as intently.

I walked over to Savannah and I placed my hand on her arm. Even the sparks that I felt didn’t cause Savannah to look at me.

“What is it?” I asked.

“I want that.” She said plainly, pointing at an orange opal pendant with a brass chain.
