CHAPTER 17 A surprised Daniel

“Teach him a lesson,” Tania instructed angrily.

“Don’t forget he taught you to fight and you know all the tactics he uses. Surprise him. That will teach him to keep his mouth shut.”

I lunged at him and landed a fist on his chin before he could react. I saw the surprise on his face and repeated my actions.

This time, his reflexes worked. Daniel leaned back like a bridge with a sideways movement, dodging my punch that flew past him like a breeze.

He came back to his feet and rubbed his chin, looking surprised;

“What? Didn’t you want to fight?” I asked innocently, blinking my eyes, and without waiting for a reply, I spun and side-kicked him in the ribs. Daniel held his breath, attempting to hide the pain my kick had caused him when it met his ribs. He was the one who taught me to curl my toes so that the impact of my attack would have better results, giving me time to prepare for my next attack.
