Cindy POV
I looked up from my book when I heard some whisper in the class, I know the headteacher had called in a transferred student, but I didn't look up, but hearing the whispered made me want to know the reason.I first looked at my friends, not only were they in a daze, but they were also mouthing things I don't understand.I looked up to see the transferred student who all eyes were and immediately I felt shocked and couldn't move a muscle, my lips parted and I gasped.Oh no! This can't be! My subconscious screamed."Transferred student, introduce yourself to the class." I heard Mr Henry told the transferred student and I waited to clarify my doubts but it hits me when he introduced himself."My name is Jeffery Walsh, I am a transferred student from California. Here in my country, I came to study quietly. Nice to meet you all." He said with a smile and made a little bow and the class applauded, I could hear them applauding but I couldn't move, neither did I take my eyes away from him."Transferred student, you may take your seat now." Mr Henry told him and Jeffrey walked over to an empty seat in the middle and sat down."Now everyone, pick up your books and read, it is quiet time. I will be back in 45 minutes to see what you have all covered so far." Mr Henry told us before leaving, my eyes did not leave Jeffrey.Chad turned to Jeffery. "Hey man, long time." He said softly."Yeah." Jeffery smiled."It's been fourteen years now." D'mally who was at his front turned back to speak. "If we weren't friends from childhood, I won't have recognised you." He told Jeffery.Jeffery, Chad and D'mally had been friends and had all grew up together, they had separated when Jeffery had to leave the country fourteen years ago.Chad looked at Jeffery all through, like he was admiring him. "You have changed so much." He said honestly, truly he had changed so much, but still, I recognize him, but still have my doubts."You too." Jeffery smile, he seems was very happy to see his long time friends again. "So how was California?" D'mally asked him."Was good but boring," Jeffery told them."How?" Chad asked, others would say it was fun and exciting."Do you know what it means to be in a strange man's land all by yourself for fourteen years without the people you know?" Jeffery asked him.Chad thought through the words and nods. "That's true, but there would be a lot of beautiful girls there, don’t tell me you never have fun with them. "Jeffery was silent."Oh...now he is silent.. come on dude!" D'mally said as they all chuckled. "Welcome back anyways."I was just staring at Jeffery, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, he was here, he is right in my front."What a handsome boy!" Janet's who was also staring at him exclaimed. "Kelly, I almost melted away." I heard Janet speakKelly was also staring at Jeffery in a daze. "He took my breath away." Kelly soliloquized as she exhaled softly. They both turned to look at me who was silently looking at Jeffery. "I know she won't be enchanted by his handsome face since she only has eyes for Russeli," Kelly said. But to their shock, I was also staring at Jeffery with a shocked expression that made my friends surprised. "Cindy, what is wrong?" Kelly asked. They must have realized that the look on my face wasn't one of admiration or falling in love, it was an expression of one being stunned.I turned to Kelly, stupefied. "It can't be real," I mutteredKelly was confused. "What?"Cindy exhaled softly, pulling out from my thoughts. "Nevermind," I told them, I won't let them see me like this.I closed my book and I could see the stare my friends were giving her, I have to find an excuse to leave before they fill my ears with questions. "I have to use the restroom," I told them and left the class immediately. In the restroomI splashed water on my face as I looked at her reflection in the mirror. "It can't be Jeffery Walsh."I shook my head. "He left fourteen years ago, how could that be him. It's not him Cindy." I told myself. But I knew I was only wishing it was not him, but he was here in our school, here with me, he could see her, finally, Jeffery was here, back finally.I touched my chest and could feel my heart thumping. "Why is my heart racing? Huh! It can't be Jeffery." I splashed more water to her face as I spoke loudly to myself."Wake up Cindy!" Tears rolled down my cheek but were hidden by the water on my face, I closed her eyes. "Jeffery is back." I squat down, on hand on the sink wall as I sob, hoping no one comes in and find me in this state.Stablish High-schoolLunchtime.Cindy White POV.I and my friends got to the Cafeteria, the place was filled with students, taking their tray of food to their desk.I stopped moving, with my tray in my hands, I looked around trying to see if Jeffery was there, all through the time at class I couldn't focus because I was staring t him, and I was glad that I was sitting at two desks behind him in class."Cindy, you're going to have lunch with Russeli right?" Kelly asked me with a smile, I had almost forgotten about that, they have heard when Russeli asked me to join him at his table and I had accepted.Janet looked around the hall and spots Russeli. "He's already waiting at the table." She told me and look towards the direction and there he was, alone at the table. "Kelly let's go to another table." Janet held Kelly."See you later at the next class Cindy," Janet told me as she left with Kelly to another table.I watched my friends leave. Damn t
Jeffery Walsh POVI came back home from school and walked into the mansion with my school bag across his shoulder as I went into the living room.Normally, in California when I return from school, I walk directly to my room, cause there was no one there but me, but hearing the television sound and knowing my mother will be home brought another large smile to my face.California had been so boring that returning to New York had been my greatest wish. Now that I was back, I was the happiest young boy on the planet, well not yet happy...Lousia, turned when she heard the footsteps approaching her, and she smiles when she saw it was me, my presence always brought smiles to her face. "Welcome son.""Mom, you're home." I put down my school bag, while I sat down next to her. "I thought you had left for work." I lean my chin on my palm to take a good look at the charming face of my mother.Of a truth, the thing my friends tell him about was true. they always to
Stablish High-school Cindy White POV.The bell rang for game time as I and my friend went over to the field, today, the boys were going to play soccer, and this was a game that was loved by all the students, especially the girls, they get to cast votes and win money. It was funny, how the field was already filled with students, I and my two friends had to push our way to the front for a better view, I look from Janet to Kelly, they love this game so much that it was so obvious in their smile, not only do they love it, they love some boys in the field. And today was so exciting since there was a boy particular that almost all the girls in school admire, I was not excluded, he has charms, but I have decided to let go of my feelings for him.Soon there was a loud cheer in the crowd and I turned my eyes to see what was happening, sure enough, it was Jeffery and his team dressed in a black polo and white short with their sneakers and Russeli and his team dressed in Red to
After the match Cindy look over at Russeli who was gathering his things, she knew he had always been the winner of the match in school and losing today wouldn't make him happy. She walked over to him. "Hey, Russeli you did well out there." She pointed at the field.Russeli smiled when he saw her, he was always happy to see her, but not as a loser. "But, we didn't win." He put his things in his bag and lift them to his shoulder."You still tried your best." Cindy smile in other to cheer him up, it was not even a world championship, well, many people are not glad if they lose."It still wasn't good enough." He smiles as he looks at her beautiful face. "Well, thank you for the comfort." He gently taps her shoulder and walked away, Cindy watched him till he disappeared pit of sight, she turned around just in time to see Suzy approach Jeffery."Hi." Suzy moves close to Jeffery with a cute smile on her lips. "I admire your football skills, just in fifteen
Jeffery Walsh POV I sat down in my room looking at the picture I always look at in my free time, the little pretty girl with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen, covered in colours.I gently touched the face of the girl in the picture. "Where in the world are you, where have you disappeared to Cindy." I am so sorry for leaving her without a word, in the past, I didn't get the chance to tell her I was going away.I just left her with a promise, asking her to wait for me, I miss her so much. "If just once, just one time, I will love to see you again Cindy." I know I will recognise her at first sight, no matter how grownup she would be now, I was sure that I will recognise her."Please, come out of your hiding place, where I can see you and touch you." I gently caress the little face in the picture as tears filled my eyes. Cindy White POV I sat down with my father at the dining table eating dinner, I know I had to forget about Jeffery but, now it
Suzy Dee POV "Where are you going." A voice asked me from behind and I halt in my step. I turned around to see the boy I have decided to make mine, standing right close to me with his glittering eyes and eyes. "Jeffery," I called out his name with a smile on my face. "I want to drop this not off at the library." I lift the note I was holding up for him to see.He walks closer and looks down at the note in my hands. "Can I see them?" He asked."Yeah, sure." I hand them to him and he glances at each one of them, it allowed me to look at his face and I noticed he had long lashes and a straight nose, he is so handsome."These are a good book, the author is a great philosopher." He told me and I smile like a dummy, this is one thing you do when you start falling in love. "You did good in the riddles, I was impressed by how many you answered correctly." His eyes danced with a smile as he stares at me."I love riddles." I lied, I was just lucky today, lucky
Suzy's POV I came out of the classroom in search of Russeli, I want to be the one to invite him since it will be another opportunity to see and talk to him. "Jeffery!" I called out when I saw him about to head upstairs. He turns around at the sound of his name and he smile when he saw me. "Suzy." He said softly as I walked over to him, having him call my name brought joy to my heart. There were few students around and most of them turn to look at me, I know they were not happy to see me with the boy they have suddenly fallen for, but I didn't care, I love the attention and want them all to see that I am the only one he can look at and talk to."Do you have few minutes to spare?" I asked with a cute smile on my lips, I noticed few students frowning, they were surely angry and maybe waiting for him to reject me."Yeah sure." He smiles and leads the way, I glance back and gave the girls that were now retreating a big sarcastic smile. We both went up to t
Russeli POV I called Cindy out late in the evening to the little playground next to her house, I have come put to see her, I just wanted to see her before I go to bed that night. We both sat down on the swing, longing up at the night sky. "The stars are beautiful," I said softly to herself hearing, there were a lot of stars in the sky which made it look like we are in a fairy tale.I look at Cindy who had her eyes on the sky, probably looking at the beautiful sky, she was always pretty, always looking beautiful whenever I see her, it doesn’t matter the time, she looks dazzling both at night and day. "This is how I want you to twinkle, just like the stars.""Huh!" She turns her eyes to look at me, I smiled at her, looking down at her lips I remembered our kiss and it made me blush, I look away immediately."Are you going to the party tomorrow?" I asked her, exhaling softly as I changed the topic."Yes." I face her again when I knew my desire to k
