Thank you for reading another chapter. Again, I am sorry for the slow updates this month. Aside from not feeling well, I am moving to a whole new place which has been a little stressful. However, this shouldn't be an excuse because I vow to finish this book this month. I appreciate everyone's ongoing support.
Pew pew pew pewStanding at the firing range, the atmosphere was heavy with the scent of gunpowder and the echo of distant shots. Dressed in a black leather jacket, hair neatly tied in a ponytail, she held the firearm firmly, a sleek black pistol. Her focus was unmatched as she made each shot with her feet shoulder-width apart."That was a great shot," a man said as he approached her with a small cart holding a few new firearms. "Test these ones out," he said."Sure," she said with a smile. Without wasting much time, she dropped her pistol and took one of the new guns."Oh, this looks smooth," she said as she inspected it briefly before loading it. She resumed her position, her feet firm, and raised the revolver. She made some powerful shots, each bullet hitting the target without a fail"Not bad," she muttered with a smirk as she lowered the revolver and picked up a semi-automatic rifle from the batch. She positioned herself again and squeezed the trigger, sending a flurry of shots st
"What do you mean, you saw her with someone else?" Mr. Whimper said heavily. "There was someone coming out of her place, and he usually goes there and comes out," the man replied. "I think he might be her new catch. Why don't you just let her go, sir? you deserve better" he suggested. Mr. Whimper's eyes burned with fury as he furiously pushed the man against the wall, his hands choking the man's neck. "Hey, watch what you say! Watch your mouth, boy!" he growled. "Don't tell me what to do; you're not paid for that!, no woman is better than my Natalie" "S-sir, I-I didn't mean to say that," the man struggled to say, his words cut off as he gasped for air. Mr. Whimper pulled away, his steps heavy as he seethed with rage. "Go and find out who that is and bring him to me. Who dares have an eye on a flower I already have my eyes on? There is no way. She can't have anyone else apart from me," he snarled. "I will," the man said, stammering as he nodded his head hastily, still coughing as h
"I want you all to know I have equal power in this house, and when my daughter officially becomes Mrs. Wood, I will make sure you all get sacked from this house! I want no laziness, no dawdling! Bring me my breakfast in my room. Make sure it reaches there before I get there, and make sure it's piping hot. And don't even think of skimping on the tea. I want it strong enough to knock me off my feet. Do you understand?" Aunty Soso Lolo said without a break. "Yes, Aunty Lolo, we will do that right away," one maid said as she quickened her pace to the kitchen. "See that you do! And don't forget to iron my dress for the show tomorrow. I want no wrinkles! I need to look my best... Uh-Uh, get the cook to make me those little pastry things they usually make that I like... What's it called again?" Aunty Soso Lolo said as she tried to think. "Croissant!" another maid shouted. "Oh yes, that! Croisette!" Aunty Soso said, and the maids glanced at each other, almost on the verge of burstin
"Yes, I have everything in my hands now. All the forms are here," Emma said on the phone, his voice low and urgent."Alright, I will escape from jail tonight. If everything goes as planned, I'll meet you at the designated spot," Marko replied, his voice laced with desperation."Sure thing, man. Be careful. I will meet you at the old warehouse with the truck. Stay safe," Emma said before hanging up.Just as he was about to wrap everything up in the room, a voice shouted from the hallway, "Who is there?"His heart raced as the voice echoed in the room. He quickly hid behind a nearby curtain. The door slammed open, and he held his breath, frozen, as footsteps approached.A guard entered the room with his flashlight, scanning the area. Emma stayed perfectly still, watching as the beam of light swept past him. Slowly, he tiptoed out of the room when the guard entered the washroom.….……………………………………………………………………………………9-1-1, what’s your emergency?"Hello, this is Ranger Van from the local fore
"Thank you and your team for securing the area, Ranger. We will take it from here," Chief Officer Nico said. "For now, there is nothing we can say until an investigation is conducted," he added, turning to his colleagues present. "We need to get the forensics team out here to collect evidence. We need to process the scene and see if we can find any clues about who was driving this car and what happened, whether it was intentional or deliberate," the Chief Police Officer continued. "I will let my boys search the surrounding area to see if we can find any other evidence or witnesses," the Ranger said. "That would be great, thanks again," the Chief Police Officer said. "Get the flatbed truck ready to transport the vehicle," he said, as he went around the car to inspect more. "Strap it down and get it ready for transport," he added. ….………………………………… "Who could this belong to? Anyone missing a phone?" the police officer said as he picked up the device from the corner of the entrance,
"Move, move, move! Everybody out!" the security shouted as they guided people out.The crowd was in a state of chaos, with people screaming and running for their lives in all directions."How did this happen? Get the ambulance! Who dared to shoot my ba—bu?" Mr. Whimper exclaimed, his voice trembling with rage as he stood shakily, his guards rushing to protect him."Sir, you can't be here. We need to send you away," one of his men said."Rubbish! How do you expect me to go away when she's lying there in a pool of blood?" he said as he paced angrily in the middle of them."Secure the place! Make sure the criminal who did that doesn't get away," he said, boiling over with anger.….………………………………………………………………"Victoriaaaa!" Liam called out as he rushed to the stage, his eyes wide with horror. He knelt beside her, frantically pressing his hands against her chest, trying to stem the bleeding., but it was too late. "Sir, we are losing her," the nurse urged, his voice trembling. "The bullet wound is too severe. She's already lost a lot of blood. We need to act fast."Liam's eyes were fixed on the surgical site as Natalie's life slipped away. His vision began to blur, and he felt himself swaying, almost on the verge of collapsing. The voice of Richard echoed in his head, "Please save her, she's my life," and the nurses rushed to support him, holding him upright."Sir, you need to be strong, or we will lose her. You've got this, Dr. Liam," one of them whispered urgently. His eyes locked onto where the gunshot wound was as she rapidly bled out."Get me the scalpel. We need to get the bullet out, now!" he ordered, his voice firm. His hands trembled as he made the incision, taking a deep breath to steady them. But they shook like leaves, and he sweat heavily, a nurse helping him wipe it off.Carefully and gently, he began to explore the wound. The bullet had torn through major blood vessels and damag
Running along the shore, his feet carried him farther and farther down the sea. Flashes of her face flooded his mind, causing him to speed up, the memories overwhelming him.Suddenly, he stopped and screamed at the sea."Whyyyyyyyyyy!" he bellowed, his fists clenched at his sides."Whyyyyy!" he cried out again, his voice echoing in the waves. His body slumped as his legs gave out, collapsing onto the sand. He sat there, head in his hands, his body shaking with sobs. "How could they do this to me?" he whispered. "She made a fool out of me. Why did she keep it a secret?" His cries echoed across the waves. With tears streaming down his face, he thought of her. "I was so dumb. Why, why, why," he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "How could I have been so blind?" he lamented, beating his chest as he sobbed. .…………………………………………."Where is my grandson?" Grandma Leta asked as she quickly rushed out, not seeing him in the yard."He ran out this morning," Aditi said as she approached h
