Chapter 5: Everything Should Be Back On Track.

Stella was slightly stunned by the appearance of the new director. Because she never thought that the new director would be Lucas.

However, she still tried to be as calm as possible to welcome him with the other colleagues. At first, Lucas still walked calmly into the company, but when he took a few steps, he stopped at a position very close to Stella and looked at her. His face now seemed to have the same expression as Stella just now, because he was also surprised to see her here.

He smiled slightly at Stella and then continued walking. When he left, the colleagues standing next to Stella seemed to be talking about something.

“Did you see it? It seems like the director just now looked at one of us and showed that smile. I wish that person was me.” A colleague spoke up.

Next, another colleague also said:

“Me too, how great it would be if it could really be me.”

“Why do you have such thoughts? I'm sure the person he's looking at is me. Therefore, you should stop giving illusory thoughts.” A girl spoke up, followed by surprised looks from everyone around. And Stella also watched the girl.

A few people, after looking at it, quickly turned away to discuss.

“Ah, so she's the deputy director, she's still as confident as ever, isn't she?” One person said.

“But maybe she's right, because she's very beautiful and has a successful career as well. So, who wouldn't like it?" Another added.

“But I think the person the director looks at is not her, because in our company there are a lot of beautiful people. Ah, I remember. Near the spot where the director stopped, Stella was also standing there just now.” One of the crowd spoke softly.

"Yes, in terms of beauty, I'm sure Stella is the number one candidate." Following the other person's last words, another person spoke again.

Stella glanced at the people who made the arguments just now and shook her head slightly, she didn't expect that just because of a small act of Lucas, everyone would talk like that. But she didn't care too much, perhaps he had looked at her or maybe he had just been near her another acquaintance of his. Therefore, his actions did not affect anyone.

It's just that after hearing everyone's gossip, the deputy director also felt a little uncomfortable. Because up until now, she has always been adored by everyone and no one has ever stood in her way. But now that such a person appeared, for this deputy director, it was not a happy thing.

She whispered softly in her assistant's ear.

"Ashley, you need to go and ask me who the girl named Stella is and what department she works in." The deputy director said.

"Okay, I'll go now." said the assistant. After the assistant left, the other deputy director also dispersed the talking crowd.

Stella also quickly left to ask for her current position to return to her desk to get the job done. Anyway, she wants her work to become more and more developed. So she has to work even harder.

“Stella, can you help me with this document?” A voice came from behind Stella, that voice made her turn around.

"Okay." Stella realized that the girl she was talking to was the deputy director, so she didn't think much and quickly accepted the job.

"I'm going before." The deputy director finished speaking, smiled and left.

In front of the other deputy director's cheerfulness, Stella didn't mind too much because she would try to finish the job as soon as possible.

Lunch break has arrived, and it's time for Stella to complete the work assigned by her superiors. Because she is an extremely careful person, before submitting the report to her superiors. She double-checked and saved a separate copy.

“Deputy Director, this is the document I gave you. I'm done." Stella said.

“Okay, then you can just put it there. I'll read it later, I'm busy right now." said the deputy director.

Stella nodded slightly and left the office, also from this moment. A perfect trap was set by the other deputy director.

After Stella left, a girl approached her and stuffed her with a piece of paper. When you look closely. Then Stella also realized that the girl was Ashley, assistant to the deputy director. But the strange thing is that she and her have never been in contact with each other. So why did she stuff her with a piece of paper and what did the other piece of paper contain?

Stella thought for a moment, then decided to go up to the roof of the company to read the note. Because that place is rarely visited by people.

When she reached the rooftop, Stella opened the piece of paper and read it.

[Be careful, Vivian has a plan to harm you. So stay away from her, before things go bad.]

What were the words that Ashley said in the end? And isn't Vivian the deputy director's name? So why is Ashley telling her these things?

Stella thought for a moment and then she seemed to recall the rumors in the company from before.

It seems that in the past, Vivian has caused many people to be fired and she has suppressed them to the point that some people even have suicidal thoughts. And many other things. But when she heard those words, Stella also thought that it was just a rumor. But now, when reading that paper. Stella also realizes that she has unknowingly become Vivian's target. However, when Stella recalled the reason why Vivian was like that…

It turns out that sometimes the words of others sometimes put her in such an awkward situation.

But… wait, didn't she just finish the paperwork for Vivian? If what Ashley said was true, then shouldn't Vivian make things difficult for her before? Then why was Vivian so gentle with her?

Stella thought for a moment and then she realized that she had just finished helping the deputy director. There seemed to be a premonition that something was about to happen. So she went back to her desk.

“What are you looking for?” A voice spoke from behind Stella. After she returned to her desk.

Stella turned to look at the other.

“My phone ran out of battery, so I'm just looking for my backup charger . But luckily I found it.” Stella said as she took the charger and left.

“In a little while will be the first company meeting of the new director. So, please join me there to present the document. This is your document after all.” The other said.

"Okay." Stella quickly agreed without saying anything more and this also made the deputy director who was plotting for her also a little stunned. She didn't expect Stella to step into the trap she had set up so quickly.

But isn't that better? Her obstacles will quickly be removed.

"Then in a little while, you should go to the meeting room around 4 o'clock to prepare." After saying that, Vivian turned away.

Stella breathed a sigh of relief, she didn't expect Vivian to find her at this point. But thinking back, it was fortunate that she had always been careful so far. So she saved a few copies.

Stella clutched the USB in her hand, then she left with her laptop.

Luckily the data is still there.

The time of the meeting is coming, it is also when Stella is about to face something that is about to happen. But she didn't know if this would have too much of an effect in the end...

The meeting immediately followed. This time, Vivian is the host.

First, she invited a few people to present a few issues, at a time. She invited Ashley to present the contents of the document.

But what made Stella did not expect that, the content she and Ashley wrote was completely the same. This also means that Vivian gave her content to Ashley. Then what should Stella do next…?
