Charlotte immediately jumped away from him and turned around to glare at him, "if you keep acting like this, I won't be coming around anymore."

He looked at her blushing face and didn't make a fuss. He sat down and looked at the food in the lunchbox: a sandwich, chicken wings, fried rice.

"You did all this?"

"Sure did. I owe you, so I figured I should repay you properly."

"Join me for lunch!" Derik insisted.

"Oh, no, I just finished eating. I'm stuffed."

"Then watch me eat."

"Derik!" she exclaimed.

Derik raised his eyebrows, as if to say, "What's the problem?"

"I have work!"

"So do I. Are you more busy than i am?"

Charlotte felt a little embarrassed. "Since you're so appreciative," he continued, "why don't you just stay and eat with me!"

At this point, it wasn't a request; it was a command from Derik to her.

She picked up her fork and dug into the food alongside Derik. It was obvious Derik wasn't hungry; he just wanted Charlotte by his side as he fed her.
