I went into my room quietly and sat down on my bed. I wondered why Ian didn't say a word. So that means he truly has a child with her.

The door handle was shaking, and I knew that someone wanted to come into the room. I waited till I heard a knock on my door.

I dragged my feet towards the door and opened it. I was aware it would be Ian, and I was correct.

"Iris, can I come in?"

I made way for him to enter my room without saying a word.

"You look cold. I thought you would have come inside my room to sleep."

"Your room? No, I can't. I am comfortable here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am alright here."

"You have been silent and cold the moment she talked about a child; do you believe what she said?"
