Liam's POV

“Fuck!” I cursed, as I strode to get the door, my heart still pulsing from the intimate moment we had.

Swinging the door open, I watched as Olivia stepped into the living room, with a desperate look on her face. It reminded me of the sorrowful demeanour she wore earlier on, when she came crying to me earlier. I paid her no heed and even got angrier at her because she hurt Evie. I'm glad Evie was just on track to put her right in her place.

“What else do you want? Haven't you done enough?” I asked, in a stern voice, obstructing her way in.

Hissing, she pushed me aside slightly and settled on one of the couches in the living room.

“You can't even let me in. Why do you hate me so much? Are you falling for her already?” Olivia asked, like she was expecting a queen's treatment.

“You are evil and that's why I don't want you here anymore. You should leave!” I howled at her.

“What? Liam? How could you be so callous? Don't I at least deserve to stay?” she asked pathetically.

I needed to make her understand that I'd never hurt her again, that never in my existence would I let her be hurt by anyone whosoever again. If only she would give me a chance to express how I feel. If only she could give me a listening ear. If only she would…“Please Evie! Please. I needed someone who would listen, to vent my emotions and to feel relief of uplifting the burden from my heart. Evelyn was heartbroken. I have done so much to cause her excruciating pains. All I felt at the moment was deep guilt and pity for her. I've never felt so sorry for anyone else all my life.“Please Evie, you have every right to hate me for this. I accept f

Evelyn's POVMy eyes parted open as a ray of light pierced through the slightly opened curtains on the window and rested on my face. I flickered my eyelids, dazed by the bright light that hit my eyes as soon as I opened them. I raised my head a bit and scrutinized the room. It looked different, exquisitely designed to suit a man's taste. But my room was all pinky. Where the hell was I?Tilting my dizzy head to the left, my gaze hit those of Liam. He looked so breathtaking in this state and smelt so nice. His face was so strikingly attractive as he flipped his eyelids open and smiled perfectly while he stared at me. I made to get up at once, until I noticed that I was trapped in his embrace.I had to be dreaming. I can't believe this! I can't believe I spent a night in his room for the first time. This is definitely my first time being in his room. Why's everything happening so fast? Is this the happily ever after I had always wished for?“Wh… What is going on here?” I batted my eyelid

  • Love Beyond The Contract   A Date With My Husband

I couldn't help but think about Liam all day. Literally everything reminded me of him. I yearned for more of his touches, but unfortunately he wasn't coming back anytime soon. Getting out of bed, I strode into the bathroom, his bathroom and lowered myself into the jacuzzi. I loved the smell of his presence, so I insisted on staying here all day, so I'd get refreshed every second by his intoxicating cologne. I put on the shower and let the warm shower splatter generously on my bare body, spreading warmth throughout every inch of it. I pushed my head back and moaned softly while my body was covered in lather. I could help but wish I would have the opportunity to do this with Liam. It'd be so lovely, I thought. After washing off, I dabbed his towel against my skin, apparently wetting it and inhaling its manly scent. It was soothing, causing me to reminisce about the activities of the morning just before he left. Dashing out of the bathroom, I went to his closet and put on one of his

“Woah! Look who we have here! The one night stand opportunistic gold-digger and her supposed Billionaire husband on a date! Amazing, isn't it?” Olivia jeered at us, causing many people in the restaurant to glare at us. I felt irritated by the piercing gazes that jabbed at me and Liam. Liam seemed unfazed by Olivia's actions. He only stared intently at me and gave me a reassuring smile. Olivia grinned fiendishly, drawing closer to our table. She placed a palm on our table and leaned by it, facing Liam. Liam chose to ignore her, but she didn't relent. She placed her right palm on his cheek, caressing it softly to my chagrin and said, “Cmon, Mr lover boy! Don't you dare pretend you're innocent. Or should I tell them all the horrible things you did?” She taunted, with a wicked smirk. “Look Evie, you have to stop this! What exactly do you want from me? Money?” Liam asked in desperation , creeping up his cheek. “Oh come off it Mr CEO! I don't need your money anymore. I'm never a paupe

Liam's POVI placed my hand on Evie's waist and sauntered downstairs that way, journeying the long flight of spiraling stairs gently until we got to the last. We've decided to make breakfast together to spice up things. Although I didn't quite enjoy cooking that much, I agreed, eager to spend more time with her.We paused by the living room when our eyes travelled to the television and surprisingly, I found my picture there. Well, it wasn't actually a surprise, I've always appeared on TV but this time, an inauspicious aura hung in the air.Striding closer to the living room, I squinted my eyes on the television to decipher what exactly the news headline was this time. My grip on Evie's waist released as and reached for the remote control to increase the volume to hear clearly what they had to say.“CEO Liam Wright has been reported for the alleged murder of the unborn child of one Evelyn Peterson and manipulation, by an anonymous person and is expected to show up in court today to be

I'd teach her a good lesson once we're out of this place.“Mr Liam, you may proceed to the dock,” the gentle looking courtier said, inviting me for the trial.I strode to the dock and sat, scrutinizing the people around me conspicuously. My eyes spotted another familiar face. Dr Howells, the doctor. Our family doctor! My heart froze. What is he here for?The judge commenced the trial at once.“Guilty or not guilty?” He asked, directing his gaze at me.“Not guilty,” I answered.“Do you have a defendant? Or should the court provide one for you?”“I have one, sir.”“Alright, he may proceed then,”Mr Dawson, my lawyer, came forward and stood where was expected of him. The judge fitted his glasses that fell at the roof of his nose properly and began the deal of the day.

Evelyn's POV Liam's car blared its horn loudly in front of the house, notifying me about his arrival. I've waited all day for him to come back, so I'd get to know the outcome of the sudden trial. I only hope he wasn't sentenced to some month's imprisonment, because I can't bear to lose him for that long. Liam parked at the parking lot and alighted from his car, striding towards the door, bearing a smug look on his face. I couldn't help but wonder why I felt so contended, considering the matter at hand. Did he come out clean or something? “Welcome home, Liam!” I snuggled him in. “Thanks wifey,” he teased, placing a kiss on my forehead. “So, how did it go?” I asked the all important question, peering into his face with a concerned gaze. “Very well. Everything went fine.” He beamed with a smile. “I was offered an option to pay for my offenses, or to spend the next month behind bars. Evelyn's POV It feels good to love someone and the person loves you back. It has always been my wish for the love I have for Liam to be reciprocated and it's finally coming to fruition. Liam loves, cherishes and spoils me, like I mean the whole world to him. I only wish this would last, if possible for a lifetime. I stare at the beautiful diamond ring in my ring finger in admiration. I'm now officially Mrs Wrights. A grand societal wedding has been held in our honour, which ended up being the talk of the town, despite our efforts to keep it low-key. The doorbell rang suddenly. I raced to the door to get it opened. I already knew who was at the door. As I swung the larger door open, I jumped at Liam, enclosing him in a passionate hug. He snuggled me in and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. “Welcome home, hun!” I said, ushering him in. “Thank you, baby,” he replied with a bright smile. “Dinner is ready!” I announced, beaming with smiles, my hands wrapped around his torso. “I know

I tilted my head slightly, only to find Liam, whose face basked in a cheerful smile. There was something about his smile that made it difficult for me to look elsewhere other than his breathtakingly handsome face. “You're awake already?” He said, his smile not fading for a second. I felt lost for a moment, my gaze fixed at his adorable features. I don't know for sure how long I had gazed on, but I know I had had my eyes glued to him for too long, longer than I thought. “Y…Yeah, I… I'm up,” I stuttered, managing a convincing smile. “How do you feel now?” he asked, trailing his hand down to my neck. “I'm fine.” I flashed him a weak smile. “You’re not fine, Evie. Stop lying to me,” I looked away immediately, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment. I didn't know he'd know that I wasn't telling the truth. “I'm sorry, I'm better I mean, aft

  • Love Beyond The Contract   Strange Woman

I could hardly wait for my antenatal care session to be done with. I've had just enough of everything. I should have just ended it all long ago, that way I wouldn't be involved in this mess. Just when I lost hope, Frank waltzed back into my life and instilled a fresh hope and now he's leaning me shattered and heartbroken. “Miss Lisa, come forward, please,” the doctor motioned to me, indicating that it was my turn to be attended to. “Okay, doctor!” I said and moved to the chair opposite him. He outlined the necessary medication and suitable meals, rich in various nutrients that should be taken by me. I thanked him and left afterwards, after giving Evelyn one last scrutinizing gaze. Frank was supposed to drive me back home. He had said he'd report at the hospital in thirty minutes time, but unlike him, he didn't show up even after more than an hour. I wasn't so bothered about that anyway. He was the cause of the heaviness I felt in my heart and I wouldn't want to have anything to do

Welcome to my office,” The doctor replied curtly, raising his gaze to meet me, his eyes particularly on my protruded belly.“Your pregnancy is advancing smoothly,” he observed, although I felt might have meant the opposite- The pregnancy had brought me so much pain and mental stress.“How about your husband?
