Raymond's POV

I walked into the sitting room, my mind swirling in thoughts.

As I strolled in, I noticed the chorus stares of from everyone on my skin

“You left in a hurry,” Ralph said, breaking the Silence. “Anything wrong?” he asked as he sipped the coffee which was cradled in his hand.

"Just a friend from the office," I replied, my tone clipped as I headed toward my room. But Ralph wasn't done.

"Violet, isn't it?" he asked, a knowing glint in his eye.

I stopped in my tracks, my expression stiffening. Had Elena spoken to them?

The very sound of that name sends irritation through me, leaving me speechless. I felt a cold shiver down my spine as soon as Violet's name was mentioned.

"How did you..." I trailed off, my mind racing with suspicion.

"I've known you long enough Raymond," Ralph said, setting down his coffee and fixing me with a serious gaze.

"You're not the type of man to get so worked up over nothing. Elena made mention of violet the moment you left. Turned out she was the
