Chapter 606

Knowing that Margot hadn't eaten anything, Natalie offered her a skewer of ribs that her brother had grilled.

"Eat something. It's quite chilly here at night. Hurry up. We'll have a bonfire later."

When Margot saw Natalie force a grin, she stopped talking about it and took the ribs, slowly nibbling on them.

Tommy brought over a plate of vegetables and called Curtis, who was holding Lilac on the side.

"Curtis, come over and eat."

"Okay."

He agreed and sat down beside Margot, holding his daughter. With sufficient light here, Lilac finally saw what her father looked like.

She pouted and touched his stubble, innocently asking, "Daddy, why do you look so ugly now? You're so tanned. Your beard pokes my hand."

Curtis felt inexplicably sad as he heard Lilac's comments. He glanced at Margot beside him. Seeing that she didn't care about him, he turned to his daughter and asked, "Does my appearance disappoint you?"

"No, I think you look cool. I like you like this."
