“...who are you?”

My chest burned within and my throat was tight as I tried to keep my emotions from erupting, I ground my teeth and ignored her question.

‘Bring the silver handcuff.’ I mind-linked Silas.

‘On it, Alpha.’ His response came almost immediately.

I took the handcuffs from his hands when he came close, he retreated his footsteps.

I spun and grabbed her left hand.

“What are you doing?” There was a slight panic in her voice when I took her hand. I grazed her wrist with my fingers and handcuffed her hand to the bed.

“Making sure this doesn’t happen again.” I let go of her hand when I was done. “Stop struggling with it, you will end up getting hurt.”

“Why do you care?” She spat angrily, her icy glare fixed on my face.

“Keeping you safe from all harm is my priority. I can’t let you get hurt. That’s all you should know.” I held her gaze, my hands placed on both sides of the bed beside her.
