05 Club Night

James.

I asked the staff to keep an eye on Olivia. Blake, the head of security at the mansion, reported that she had been leaving early and returning home in the early morning hours. I did not need to guess what she had been up to. According to Blake, the behaviour had been constant for a week now. I decided I needed to tell Paul what was going on. I knew he would be heartbroken, but I wanted him to understand that he could not change a fast girl. The quicker he knows, the easier it will be to send her back to Geneva. I understood his sentiments, but Olivia was a waste of time.

I knocked on Paul's room and sensed he was with someone. I was about to walk away when Tristan, our youngest brother, opened the door. He smiled at me, and I wondered why he wasn't at the office.

"What are you doing at home?" I asked him, and he smiled.

"Been busy all week. Wanted to hang with Paul and you a bit, but unfortunately, duty calls and I have to leave for the office now. Maybe some other time," he said and walked away before I could speak. I walked into Paul's room and saw he was shirtless with a towel hanging on his neck. I knew he must have been working out. He was more diligent in that regard than I was.

"Good morning," I said, and he smiled at me.

"To what do I owe this visit, Alpha?" he teased, and I raised an eyebrow at him because I knew he was being funny. He knew I knew, and he began to laugh.

"Don't blame me, James. You walked in looking all business-like," he said, and I smiled and went to sit on the couch.

"Out with it. I know you have something to say," he said, picking up on my mood, and I nodded.

"Your rescue project," I said, and he frowned, not understanding what I meant.

"Olivia," I clarified, and he smiled.

"What about her?" he asked, and I smiled, dying to see his reaction when I told him what she had been up to.

"I put Blake to watch her activities in the house. She leaves very early and comes home late at night. Sometimes she does not return until the early hours of the morning. It is consistent behaviour with..." I said, and he shrugged, cutting me off.

"So?"He asked, and I was surprised at him.

"Can't you see it?" I asked, and he looked oblivious.

"She might have gone back to prostituting," I said, and understanding dawned on him.

"Well, you can't blame her. You refused to let her join the army, and you know she is alone on Woodclaw Island; she has to survive somehow. Besides, how are you sure that is what she is doing? She could have two jobs, maybe working at a restaurant during the day and at a bar or club at night. You advised her to seek employment in those places, and such jobs can cause such behaviour. Don't be quick to judge her. She is a nice girl, and I think you should be more friendly with her. She needs love and friendship, not the kind of hostility you are dishing out. I really do not understand why you hate the girl so much. I am beginning to suspect you are attracted to her, and you don't like it," he said, and I was speechless.

Paul was right. I was attracted to her, and I did not understand why. The fact that he could see it troubled me. My hostility towards her was wrong, too. I needed to change. I was quick to think the worse of her.

"Are you attracted to her?" he asked, and I shook my head immediately.

"I can never be attracted to the likes of her," I lied to him, and he laughed. He knew.

"And why is that, James? What is wrong with her?" he asked, sounding slightly offended, and I knew I was in the wrong.

"Everyone has a past. If you keep judging people by their past mistakes, you destroy your future with them. She might be a good friend and confidant. You really don't know what the future holds. No one is saying you should screw her but show her some kindness, James. The girl is coming from a very hard life; our influence can make a difference," he said, and I had never been so ashamed in my life.

I had nothing more to say. I stood up, ready to leave. I decided I wouldn't bother about the girl or try to prove a point again. I was twenty-six years old, and I was picking on an eighteen-year-old girl. I should be ashamed of myself.

"We will hang out with Chloe, David and Emily at the Green Club tonight. Hope you will be available?" Paul asked, and I grumbled. I had been avoiding Emily all week. I could not look forward to the evening because she would disturb me about setting a date for our wedding. Honestly, I felt I should just call off the engagement because I felt I was making a mistake, but there were so many people involved that it would be heartless for me to do.

"Can I decide to not show up?" I asked Paul, and he smiled.

"You don't want her. Just end it," he said, feeling sorry for me, and I did not know what to say to him. I did not want her.

"You know how Chloe can get, and father would be mad. He asked me if I was sure, and I said yes. They also know we have been intimate. I doubt I can just walk away. Maybe we will end up liking each other like mom and dad. After all, their marriage was forced, and they found a way to make it work." I explained, and Paul didn't look convinced.

"Mom and dad were lucky. Look what happened to my mother. She tried to trap our father with me and see where it landed her. I doubt love works that way, but I won't discourage you if you are willing to try." Paul said, and I felt sad about his mother.

"Honestly, Paul, father will be mad. He had warned me. The last time he came and sensed my reluctance, he told me he would not welcome that kind of behaviour. He said I shouldn't have been sleeping with her if I didn't want her. It isn't like she was a virgin when we met. I still don't know how they found out about it. I suspect Chloe, but all being said. I am trapped." I confessed to Paul, and he stood up and walked up to me. He placed his hand on my shoulder and squeezed.

"I will support you even against father and mother. Your happiness is paramount." He said, and I smiled to thank him, but I knew I had no choice but to continue my relationship with Emily and marry her. Other than my parents, the entire Island knew she would be Luna. It will be a huge embarrassment.

I left Paul's room to attend to pack matters. I dreaded the hangout but braced myself for it.

Evening came, and it was time to head to Green club. I wore deep blue jeans and a black t-shirt. It was a dark outfit, and it mirrored my mood. I tried not to look uninterested because of Chloe. While walking down the house corridor, Paul wished he had invited Olivia, and I was glad it skipped his mind because the last thing I wanted was to have a charity case with us. Emily was easily jealous and possessive. Olivia was a looker, so Emily was bound to be uncomfortable around her. Even if she came as Paul's date, it wouldn't matter.

Paul drove us to the club. We arrived a bit early and went to sit in the VIP section. Chloe, David and Emily were yet to arrive, and I knew the women were taking their time. The VIP Section was cleared out for us, and we turned down the club's offer to send dancers to entertain us. If it were just Paul and me, I would have obliged.

Chloe, David and Emily soon arrived. Looking at Emily in her strapless red short dress, I knew she had dressed to kill. She beamed at me, and I smiled back. I hugged her, and she kissed me on my lips, staining them with her lipstick; I had to wipe it off.

"You have a problem with wearing her lipstick?" Chloe asked me, and I smiled at her. I did not want to spoil the evening. David and I exchanged our handshake, and he did the same with Paul. I did not like the guy, but he was my sister's husband, and she was head over heels for him, so we had to tolerate him. Emily sat close to me and rested on me.

"I am not wearing panties," She linked me, and I smiled at her. I wasn't in the mood and hoped I could get away; fucking her felt like a job, and I was dying inside.

"Who will attend to us?" Emily asked arrogantly.

"There is no one to send here. Why don't you go and find out yourself or link a worker?" I told her, and she looked at Paul. She was lucky I was a gentleman.

"He is your Beta," She said, nibbling on my neck, and I gently pushed her away.

"Let this be the first and the last time you will try to disrespect my big brother. Am I clear?" I said to her sternly, and Chloe, David and Paul paused their conversation. Emily felt embarrassed, and I couldn't care less.

"If you want service, go out and sort it out yourself. If you feel too important to do so, then wait for the establishment to send someone." I told her. I was willing to take anything, but no one dared disrespect my brother. I was sure the only reason I was alpha was that he had no Key mark. Emily was about to speak when someone entered the VIP section. I knew the scent; it was peach blossom, and I looked in the direction of the scent to see what she was doing there.

Oliva looked pretty. Her curly red hair was in a ponytail, with nothing but lipstick on her face, which I believed was the club's policy. She was wearing shorts that showed her beautiful slender legs. The t-shit had a deep 'V' that showed her cleavage, and her pear-shaped figure was perfect. I did not know I was staring hard until Emily spoke to her rudely.

"Don't just stand there, girl! Take our orders and get out," She said, and I looked at Emily, stunned.

"Hey!" Paul said to Olivia, and she smiled at him.

"Beta Paul," she said, and Emily looked surprised.

"Olivia is my friend, Emily, don't speak to her like that again," he warned Emily. She apologised to him but did not spare Olivia a look. I was ashamed of what I said to Paul in the morning, insinuating that she was prostituting. She was really in need of a job.

"What would you like to order, Alpha Moon," She said to me with a formal tone, and I had to tear my eyes away from her's because I was in a trans. No woman had ever made me feel that way before. I was right when I said she would be a distraction to the men in the military. The girl was a beauty and a great distraction to me.

We all made our orders, and she listened attentively, jotting down our requests.

" We want gin and tonic, but make sure the tonic should be more than the gin. I hate the taste of spirits on my tongue," Chloe said, giving a weird order. Olivia nodded and excused herself politely.

Emily was not happy about the way I was looking at Olivia. I knew I would soon have an earful.

"So, how do you know her?" Emily asked Paul, and he did not appreciate the question, but I knew he would answer her because of me.

"She is my friend, and she is currently living at the mansion," Paul said, to drive in the knife, and I was unhappy with him. Emily exclaimed so loud that Chloe had to caution her.

"It is none of your business, Em; after all, you and David were living at the moon mansion after you had issues with your accommodation. You have no right to react that my big brother brought his friend to stay in the mansion. It is not like James is screwing her." Chloe cautioned her, and Emily was silent. Usually, Chloe would have her back, but not tonight.
