Chapter 24 Why Is He Here?

"Ridiculous! How dare you speak to me like that?" Herbert's face went red with rage, and he felt like he could strike Yuna. "Remember this: unless the sky falls, you can never change the fact that I am your father. So, you cannot oppose any decision I make!"

Yuna smiled icily. "Have you forgotten that Yuna Feron was declared dead seven years ago?"

Herbert's face froze. He'd actually forgotten about that.

"If I don't acknowledge you, do you think anyone will see you as my father?" Yuna added.

"You…you!" Herbert stuttered.

"Now that you've promised Mr. Reid your daughter's hand in marriage, why don't you have your beloved Yasmine marry him? After all, the title of Mrs. Reid will bring her riches too," Yuna said. He easily dodged Herbert's hand that swung toward her before she left the room.

As soon as she opened the door, she was suddenly grabbed by Cora.

Cora pushed her into a man's arms. "See, Mr. Reid. What did I tell you? Yuna is right here. You two should have a nice chat."
