Chapter Fifteen

Cadmus Hunter's POV

Despite barely being able to walk and with bandages all over my body, I couldn't show any sign of weakness, especially now that the entire kingdom is thrown into chaos. I kept my composure and endured the pain as I sat down the meeting table.

Esteemed generals, counselors, and head of each major families sat down as well. I cleared my throat and began, "First of all, I would like to take the time to thank each of you for your patience and time to attend this meeting."

"We came as soon as we heard you were doing okay." Counselor Adam said, "It's wise to show everyone that you're back on your feet. It lessened their anxiety."

"Still, the problem is at hand. What will you do with that girl?" General Smith demanded an answer, "It was an excellent plan to use her as bait against Kai Griffin but given the circumstances now, the kingdom will be better off without her."
