Chapter Twenty Six

Sally woke up stark naked under the white sheets to see daylight reflecting through the window , she sat up and looked beside her the space beside her was empty .

Her heart fell. What did I expect ? A love confession , At least the debt is canceled . She thought to herself she grabbed the blanket covering herself , picking her clothes from the ground .

She quickly put them on , as she picked up her purse from the night stool and saw a crisp note folded with her name on it . A spark of hope fluttered in her chest , maybe he'll say something sweet and an excuse for leaving me .

The note read ;‘ your debt is canceled , don't be late to work and forget about last night . It never happened’. Her heart fell but she quickly recovered from the shock. I should have known back to business already .

She picked her phone and walked out of the penthouse to go home and get ready for work . In the elevator her phone beeped. She checked her cell phone , thirteen missed calls from Alicia , fifteen
