Chapter - 5 Saved your life

"What are we waiting for Alpha?" Beta Davon asked, pocketing back his phone, after he had just come back from making a quick call.

"Diana. Go bring her down here" The Alpha instructed

"Yes, Alpha," Devon made to leave.

"Hold on," Rolex stopped him, "Also tell her to get Diana ready. She's coming with me,"

"Diana?" Devon questioned.

"She's a sex slave I bought at an auction. Since I'm meeting the Alpha of Divine pack at night, I'll have to lodge at hotel and I'll need company," Rolex briefly explained.

"You bought a sex slave?" Devon was beyond shocked because he knew how much Rolex detested Sex slave auctions.

"I'm also shocked. Just tell them to get her for me. I'd like to leave now," he replied and got up from the couch he was seated in.

"Yes, Alpha," Devon left.

Divine wolf pack.

Rolex remembered when they had attacked his pack a few years before and had killed his parents. If not for his uncle who had showed up, he wouldn't have survived and his pack would have been history.

He despised them completely especially after his mate rejected him and turned her back on her own pack and went with their Alpha. He was in pain for a long time but eventually recovered.

Despite having recovered, his heart was still in pieces at what she had done to hm. She had left him for the enemy, and had gone as far as rejecting him as her mate. He felt himself hurting all over again. You've passed this stage already. He sighed and made his way outside his mansion and towards his car.

Diana was already at the car, waiting for him with a deep frown etched on her face. She had on a white long-sleeved shirt, which had the first two buttons undone and was showing a bit of her cleavage, on a short, brown mini-skirt with black knee-high boots.

"You look pretty," he complimented her but the frown on her face deepened.

"Why do I have to leave the buttons undone?" she asked as she pointed at her shirt.

He looked at her in confusion and realized the maid must have said that to make her leave it that way, "I never said you had to, but I like it so leave it that way," he said and got into the car.

"Get in the front seat," he said when he saw the indecisive look on her face.

She got into the car, "Where are we going to?"

"I have a meeting on the outskirts of the pack," he replied as he drove out of the mansion.

"Why am I coming with?" she asked.

He glanced at her briefly, "To keep my bed warm," he replied making her scowl.

"It's either you learn some manners or I teach it to you the hard way," he threatened.

"Yes, Alpha," she muttered.

It was already night time by the time they arrived at the bar and something told Diana something wasn't right, "Alpha," she led him by his hand as he made to get out of the car.

She quickly withdrew her had when she saw the annoyed look in his eyes, "What is it?" he asked her.

"Can I come with you? I don't feel safe here," she pleaded.

"Why would you think I'd let you out of my sight? After attacking me twice, I'm pretty sure running away is next on your list," he uttered before getting out of the car. With a sigh of relief, Diana got out of the car and stuck to his side like a pest as they made their way inside.

She held his hand as he made to enter, "You can't go in. I can sense immense danger," she voiced out, her voice quivering.

"What are you talking about?" he asked but she held a finger to his lips and closed her eyes.

He held her finger, "What is this charade?"

She turned to him in annoyance, "You're in danger… No, we're in danger, so let me listen, please," she shut her eyes.

"The bar is empty. I can hear footsteps. Four from the left and four from the right. They have weapons," she opened her eyes, "We need to leave now," she begged.

Rolex was confused but for some reason, he believed her and with her hands in his, ran towards the car. He shoved her into the front seat and just as he was about to enter the driver seat, a dagger flew past him, narrowly missing his face.

"Fuck!" he cursed when he saw eight men brandishing weapons racing towards them. He started the engine and began pulling away as knives and daggers were thrown at the car, some breaking through the window and into the car.

She saved me, how? He wondered as they finally got away. He glanced at Diana who was shaking violently on her seat. He suddenly felt a connection with her. Something's different.

He drove back to the pack at full speed, not wanting to stop at a hotel for fear of being ambushed again. It was late in the night so no one saw them drive in except the guard at the gate of his mansion.

Diana let out a sigh of relief as she plopped down on the bed, "I saved your life," she stated as he took off his shirt.

He turned to her with a glare, "You nearly got me killed. Why didn't you say anything when we were in the car?" he questioned, "You know what? I'm going to get a drink. Take a shower and prepare to serve me tonight," he left the room leaving Diana perplexed.

The Alpha…"

"Wait." Diana yelled back, using her index finger to hush the lady from speaking further.

"Don't say it, at least not yet."

She took in a deep breath, and then retreated her hands.

"He needs you downstairs in less than 10 minutes. I shall pick a dress for you."
