Chapter 4 : The Date

" Hello angel ", he says in a husky voice. Ellen looks at the person who has pushed her and sees Logan. She tries to shrug herself out of his hold but he presses hard by the wall. He looked so intimidating. Oh God, please give me strength, She prays in her head. Wh....what do you want? She asks him. " Nothing, I just want you to repay me, Logan says ".

Ellen is afraid he would do something to her so she keeps her cool. I don't owe you so could you move so can pass, She demands. Logan looked at her with his eyebrows raised. Now that is where you are the wrong angel. You became indebted when you bumped into me. Do you know how many ribs you broke in my body, huh"? 

You're lying because I was the one who was about to get hurt when my body made an impact with yours. He moved closer to her. He was so close that Ellen could feel his breath on my cheeks. The only thing that separates them is the little space in between. Please can you move back a little? Ellen whispered. " Why, are you afraid I will bite you, angel". He says looking into her eyes. 

Ellen doesn't know how long they stood there looking at each other's eyes but he finally spoke ". 

" Am going to this party and I want you to come with me as my date". What! What made you think that I would go anywhere with you let alone a date, Ellen asks. She didn't know where she got courage but she knows that there will be consequences. 

" Feisty, I like that. So you are refusing me? he smirks making Ellen nervous. You will go on the date with me angel, wanna bet". Her heart was practically beating faster than normal. 

Logan moved his head close to her face. Their month was just an inch from touching. Ellen closed her eyes. 

" We will meet again angel ". When she opened her eyes he was gone. Was he that fast, Ellen asked in thought. It didn't take at least three seconds before she opened her eyes, or did she spend more. Arrrgg, this was so frustrating to her. She was standing in front of the washroom door mumbling to herself. She had to find Karen.

What is taking Ellen so long? Karen asks. Is she poking out to the whole school? She thinks whiles removing her books from the looker. "Hello, Karen". She turns around and meets Blake's eyes. She had to admit, She was very surprised. Why would Blake want anything to do with me, Perhaps he wanted to talk to her for old times sake, She reasons sadly. Hello Blake, She response awkwardly.

" Umm, I was wondering if you'd like to go to a party with me as my date". Karen's heart was like dum, dum, dum. You want to go out on a date with me, She asks surprised. " Yeah, he nods nervously.

First Rule: Don't make your crush know that you would die than refuse him, Karen imposed in her mind 

I have something to do tonight but it can wait, She pretends. "So I will come to pick you up in the evening? Oh and I forgot, it's formal so wear something nice. Blake asks grins showing his perfect white teeth. 

Ellen blushes. She wishes that the ground would open up and swallow her right there. Her face now practically looks like a fresh tomato, she imagines.

Ellen gazes at him and he smirks. God, he is so dreamy, she thinks. " Okay, I will call you when am coming ". He smiles and was about to live when he remembered. 

" Wait, I don't have your number, Logan says. Oh, that was silly of me to forget to give you my number, Karen says taking his phone. She types her number and gives it back to him. 

" Okay Karen, see you tonight ". He winks at her. Karen doesn't know why she didn't meltdown on the floor. She is so happy and wants to tell Ellen about Blake. Why is Ellen talking so long? Perhaps she should go and see what's keeping her, She decides.

Ellen sees Karen making her way to her. She is grinning widely and it made Ellen wonder what that crazy girl did in her absence that has caused the grinning. " Oh, Ellen am so happy". She runs and twirls her me around. Stop, Stop, Karen you are making me dizzy, She giggles and stops. " You don't how happy I am ". 

You are right I wouldn't unless you tell me Ellen says dramatically. Blake just asked me on a date. She says happily clapping and jumping a little. That's great news you will finally get the boy you want, Ellen croons. Am so so happy for you. So did you accept it? She asks. "Duh, why wouldn't I". So what kind of date are you two going on. "Argh, he said there's this party and he wants me to accompany him as his date". Ellen remembered when Logan asked her to go with him as payment for bumping into him. Maybe it's the same place both of them were going.

" Ellen can we go out to shop with me after school please, please, Karen insists. Ellen will be alone at home because of her Mom's shift. Okay, I will go out shopping with you unless you promise to buy me some strawberry Ice cream and chocolate chips cookies, Ellen asks. "Fine, it's a deal, Karen agrees as they went to their next class. Ellen was able to concentrate because Logan wasn't in the same class. After the lesson, they were preparing to go out to shop when Ellen receives a text message from an unknown number. Who could it be, She thinks. She entered the message and got shocked.

Unknown: Hi angel.

She instantly knew that it was Logan. But how did he get her number?

Ellen: I know it's you Logan. How did you get my number?

Unknown: You are a very smart angel. You should know by now that I have my way to everything. 

Ellen: What do you want? 

Unknown: I want you to come to meet me at the back entrance of the school and one more thing, if you don't come, Karen is going to face the forfeiture for you.

How dare he threaten me. He wants to use Karen as bait against me. Who does he think he is? Ellen is furious and wants to give him a piece of her mind. But for Karen's sake, she has to go to him.

Ellen: Okay am coming

Unknown: Don't keep me waiting all day. I have errands to run okay.

What an impatient guy. " You like him anyway". Who said that? Ellen turns around but didn't see anyone. Was it her conscience that spoke to her right now? She thinks that she is now officially going crazy. She looks at Karen and thinks of an excuse. Armm Karen. I left my book in class so am going back to get it, can you wait here for me?

" Okay but don't take long, we have small time to get me ready ". Ellen nods and makes her way to Logan.
