“Katia! Wait up.” I heard him called and slowed down, he hugged me when he caught up to me,

“you’ve been crying, Katia. what's wrong?" He inquired,

"I don't want to talk about it Jake" I replied trying to clean my tears with a forced smile.

"Alright, Ms. don’t want to talk about it" he said jokingly,

"don't call me that" I replied with a smile

"come here" he said with outstretched arms welcoming me in a hug.

Don't let go, I silently prayed, and somehow Jake sensed my mood and just held me there, doing nothing else, just two people listening to the heartbeat and breathe of each other.

"Let's go home" I said when I was ready and pulled away from a him.

"I thought you'd never ask" Jake said smiling

"I would have frozen to death if we had tarried for another second" he continued laughing louder.

"This is a classic example of a white lie" I joined him in laughing and poked at his ribs.

"urgh” he said pretending to be hurt “Let's go home" Jake repeated again and winke
