17-Ted’s Long Night

Ted’s POV

“So, it’s midnight,” Carl says. “Why not call her and say goodnight?”

“She is most likely asleep already,” I say with a huff.

“Let’s toss the football,” Bill goes to the bin and grabs the pigskin.

We toss it a little and then run a few routes.

I can’t complete a basic slant causing Carl to hit me in the head.

“Ted?” Carl asks, shocked I didn’t catch it.

“Sorry guys, my head is somewhere else,” I tell them, picking up the ball.

“Talk, man,” Bill laughs. “Your inner monologue always stresses you out.”

“What if Sabrina can’t see me as anything but just like her ex? I mean, we all know Sedit Zenith, I’m nothing like him but what he did to her…”

“Give her time. The mate bond will help but even with it you are going to have to be patient. The pack is going to need a minute or two to get used to a human Luna and Princess. But as long as we, the ranked members, treat them right, the pack will fall in line or be banished,” Bill assures me. “Also, Sabrina is an amazing leader already.
