Author’s POV

As soon as Ronan entered the room, Freya’s nostrils were filled with Fiona’s scent. Even though it was quite faint. She didn’t need to be told that he had been with her. She squared her shoulder staring at me with no emotion in her eyes. All of the love she has for him seems to have dissipated within a short period.

He has been trying to talk to her for a while, however, Freya has been intentional about staying away from him.

“What do you want?” She questioned.

Ronan stood still with his arms at his back. “I have come to plead with you again, Freya. I know you have been through so much because of me. I promise you this wasn’t intentional. I am sorry for all the pains that I made you go through.”

“Of what use is your pleading? Will that bring you back to me? Or will you show off your son that you have been hiding so much from me?”

“I need you to understand that my life and that of everyone around me is at stake. I am only trying to protect everyone.”

Freya scowled. “Have y
