"Yo-Your what?!" She stuttered. She tried to clean her ears and rubbed her eyes. She even tried pinching herself waiting for the moment that she would be waking up on her bed. Unfortunately, she was still seated on the comfortable seat staring at the amazingly looking guy in front of her."My hire bride, Ms. Parker. You will be posing as my wife." He repeated with the same firmness on his voice.She stared crazily at him for a few seconds before harsh words exited her mouth. "Are you crazy? Me, get married, to you? Kelsey shook her head firmly and took a deep breath. When she felt like she was ready, she went inside the glass door and made her way to the booth."Good morning, Mr. King." She greeted formally with a tight smile on her face."Ahh, you're five minutes early. I'm impressed." He said nodding his head in the process. "Have a seat." The next day, Kelsey woke up at seven in the morning to get ready before Mason came. She took a bath and made sure she had everything she needed when she moves in with him.Yesterday, when she told her mother that she had to moved out, Hilda almost had a heart attack. It took Kelsey half an hour before fully calming her down. Hilda, of course, was against the idea of it but she knew how important it was for her daughter. She was devastated that her only daughter was leaving home. She really wasn't ready for all of these, but she knew that at one point in her life, her kids will grow up and leave. Chapter 9 - The VisitMason followed Kelsey through the hall. It was still bothering him who they were visiting but it sure wasn't her father since they were in a children's hospital.Kelsey approached the counter and talked to the nurse. Mason pulled up in front of his condo and the valet boy was waiting for him to give his car keys so he could park it for him.He twisted the key as the car's engine died and stopped roaring. He then glanced at the passenger seat, only to find Kelsey in a middle of a nap. Kelsey heard the ringing of the doorbell startling her. She put the last pile of clothes in the drawer and closed it. She slowly stood up from the floor shaking her numb legs. She then started making her way down the stairs and saw the siblings greeting each other."So, where is she?" The gentle voice of the beautiful woman standing beside Mason asked. She was indeed gorgeous and it was no doubt she and Mason were siblings. They had good genes. They both had brown hair but Mason had really dark hair whereas his sister had more of chocolate brown hair with some blonde highlights. They also both had ocean blue eyes and tall figure. Kelsey stared at them amazed that they looked as if they had just finished modelling for a fashion show.Mason glanced to his right only to see Kelsey standing at the foot of the staircase. "Nina, if there are any important and urgent calls, tell me and put me through. But if they're not, leave them, I'll handle it tomorrow." Mason commanded as Nina nodded in understanding."Yes sir." She answered."Alright, I best be going then." He announced and left the office. Once he was in his car, he glanced at his gold watch and checked the time. It was already 4:37 and it would take him about half an hour to get home since it was already traffic hours. He sighed and figure it was fine to be late for a couple of minutes.~ * ~ * ~"Are you sure that I look fine?" Kelsey asked Ella for the millionth time."You look perfect, Kelsey. Now stop asking or I'm going to put some tape on your mouth." She threatened shutting Kelsey up. "Remember, table manners. Also, if your make-up fades, just touch it up. I put all the make-up you need in this purse." She said handing her the purse as Kelsey took it."Alright." Kelsey nodded and reassured Ella with a smile. "I think I'll be fine."
