CHAPTER 16

Audrey panicked when she saw it wasn't only one monster in Helen's head. She thought how strong the girl must have been to withstand two bogeyman or men or whatever their plural was she didn't care. What was important was stopping them both.

Audrey used her entire strength to set a fire barricade around them.

"This can't hold for long." Audrey said she could feel her strength fading

"You're exhausted." Josephine said

"I think we need help." Helen said

"I can't use my magic here." Josephine said she tried using her powers but it didn't work.

"I know we need help from outside." Audrey said

"How are we going to get one?" Helen asked

"I don't know, maybe if I leave, since I'm just third party but... The flames protecting you from them would die out, and I can't leave you two here." Audrey said

"You have to, or we're all going to die. You said it yourself if we fail Helen is all but lost we can't lose her." Josephine said

"I don't want to leave you two." Audrey said

"We'll hold off
