It was well past midnight when my mom and I took Bri back to her house to find people everywhere. And then sometime close to three in the morning when things calmed down enough that everyone finally left. Not that it bothered me. Bri mentioned Jackasses' attack, and her father made sure he didn't leave there without special bracelets. His group of jocks that had been with him disappeared shortly after that leaving him to his fate. Bri's father thanked me before ushering her inside. And my mother headed home. There was a lot to do, and my job was to look after Bri. I ducked into the woods that seemed to encircle this town.

How there wasn't a wolf population in the area was beyond me, it was perfect. Once in, far enough, I circled around to the back side of the house. Stripping down, I left my clothes in a pile and shifted. I moved to the same spot I have been sitting in the last few days and watched Bri as she came to the window to see if I was there. I watched as her eyebrows
