LONG AND HARD

I didn’t know when I fell asleep, but I was certain we had both been whispering sweet nothings to each other as our bodies entangled in ways that we probably didn’t know existed before.

When I open my eyes I see that it was morning and there was nobody entangled with me on the bed. The other side of the bed though perfectly disturbed, was empty.

I lean forward, scanning the room to find that it is as empty as the rest of the bed. I hear shuffling coming from downstairs and smile to myself, he must be down there fixing breakfast.

Getting up and slipping into one of his button up shirts, I hurry to the bathroom, I wasn’t trying to look perfect like those women who wake up with a full face of make up in the movies, but I was not exactly going to show up with crusty eyes.

My mouth was fresh, my face even fresher, I head downstairs, and into the kitchen.
