Chapter 4

Two days had passed after that lunch fiasco. Kylie didn’t return so I ended up eating by myself and then went back to USC.

I let Kristoff have his two days of peace. Because today, I’d make sure I’d get on his nerves.

After Kristoff told me those hurtful words, I realized that reality really hurts. But I didn’t let it get into me. Instead, I accept it as a challenge. The more he rejected me, the more that I was eager to pursue him.

I let his words pass. I’d make him regret what he said about me. I’d tried anything to pester him until he gave up and fell to my charm.

I was not like other girls. I knew what I wanted. And if I wanted it, I’d do anything just to have it.

After I finished putting on my red lipstick, I looked at myself in the mirror. My brown eyes that were always fierce and expressive were one of the reasons why men fell into my charm. A small face and a straight-edged nose that I got from my dutch father. And a cupid’s bow-shaped lips that made the men crazier about me. Thanks to my father’s genes. Being a half Filipino and a half Dutch was really a good combination.

I took a last glance of myself in the mirror before getting out of the comfort room. I walked towards Kylie and tapped her shoulder.

“Let’s go.”

I was really shocked when Kylie explained to me what happened between her and Josh. That was why I felt that she was really against the idea that I’d add Josh to my list. Damn! It’s a good thing that Kristoff appeared. Because if not, I might be pushing on getting Josh instead and it might ruin our friendship.

I glanced at Kylie and she looked at me with brows furrowed. “You are planning something today.” It was not a question. It was a statement. Because she knew me better than anyone else.

I grinned at her and flipped my hair. I curled it a while ago and it looked so fab. I saw how she shook her head because she already knew the drill.

We started walking towards the parking lot to look for my car.

“I brought my car with me, I’ll drop you off at Seaside while I go to UC- METC.”

“What’s UC-METC?” she asked, confused.

“Seriously? It’s University of Cebu - Maritime Education & Training Center!” I chortled. I just couldn’t believe that she didn’t know that.

“What the?! You are going there because of that swimmer marine student, am I right? What is his name again? Jeez! I think you are out of your mind, Anna Belle.”

“Kristoff Liam Mendez.” I saw his F******k because of Josh. I added him and they were mutual. That was why I got his full name. He was also one year older than me. He was already twenty-one and he was graduating this year. “And I’m still sane. Thank you.” I glared at her.

“This is so unusual of you. Don’t you know that?” Now she was laughing at me.

“I know. It’s just. I really like him, Kylie. I will do anything just to have him,” I said biting my lips.

“Fine. Goodluck. I just heard something about him.” She grinned at me.

“What is it?” I raised my brow to her. I turned to the right side when I saw my red Audi A6 that dad gave to me on my eighteenth birthday.

“He doesn’t like you,” she said and then laughed. I shoot her a deadly glare. “I just can’t believe it. Your charm doesn't affect him.”

“Stop it. He's just being hard to get.” I opened the driver seat when we arrived at my car and got inside. While Kylie occupied the passenger seat beside me.

“If I were you, Anna Belle, I would stop right away. Kristoff doesn’t like women who chased men. He doesn’t like how upfront you are. You are always the one who gives motives first.” I frowned at what she just said. She was such a bummer! “He likes those Maria Clara types. Like those pure and innocent types of women,” she added that made me pissed.

“Well… I’ll be an exception, Kylie. I will make sure of that.” I smirked before turning the engine of my car and drove it out of our school premises.

After dropping Kylie at SM seaside, I went right away to UC-METC. I was actually happy that we didn’t have a class the whole afternoon. They said that it was for the preparation for the intramurals tomorrow.

I smiled at the guard and he let me pass right away. He knew about me. My uncle was actually working inside the university. It was a big advantage for me.

After I parked my car, I glanced at myself in the mirror before I went out.

I smiled as I saw how the male students looked at me. I tucked some of my hair on the back of my ear and gracefully walked towards the group of male students who were in their marine uniform.

“Hi.” I smiled at them and I kinda want to laugh because of their reaction. They were just looking at me with wide eyes. I bit my lower lip and chuckled a bit. “Do you know where Kristoff Liam Mendez is?”

“Shit! She’s looking at Cap,” one of the guys whispered, which made my brow raised.

“Is she Cap’s girlfriend?”

“Holy shit! That chick was Belle of San Carlos University.”

I just looked at my nails while they were busy whispering about me.

“What? Then that’s not Cap’s girl then. He hates her.”

My brows furrowed after hearing that. I looked at them and glared. Well… That was not nice to hear.

I was about to say something when I saw someone familiar at their back. He was walking towards us with a dark expression.

Damn! Why am I not even afraid of how he looked? I even find him ruthlessly hot. And his uniform was even adding it up. He was so damn fuckable! Goodness!

You are fucking smitten, Belle. Get a grip bitch!

I smiled sweetly when he stopped in front of me. “Hi—“ I didn’t finish what I wanted to say when he suddenly grabbed my hand and dragged me away from those male students.

I waved to those guys and grinned because I got the reaction that I wanted from him.
