Chapter 16

Amanda hurriedly prepared herself for the day. She woke up late due to last night. She couldn't sleep properly as she was worried about Jame's welfare and how he was doing after she saw him running to his room yesterday. She grabbed her bag as she finished preparing and started walking out of the house.

She saw Eric waiting beside his car as she came outside, she was surprised to see him there. Amanda was left stunned beyond words. Eric barely smiled and signaled her to come closer which she did.

"Good day Sir," Amanda greeted as she came to stand next to Eric still looking surprised.

"I know you are surprised," Eric said awkwardly and he scratched his hair. He was also surprised at himself when he decided to come over to her place to see her before he would start leaving for work.

"Yes I am, what's the reason for the urgent visit Sir?" Amanda asked, still surprised and trying to understand why Eric was waiting outside her house.
