Ch. 10

JACKSON'S POV

I can't tell her how happy I am that she's the first person I saw when I woke up. I had seen the sadness that clouded her eyes as she cupped my face and looked intently at me, and I knew that she was worried about me.

I didn't notice anyone else in the room. It was just her face that I saw and I wondered how or why she came to my house.

"Mr. J. T, the ambulance will be here soon, I think…"

"Get lost!" I yelled at Mrs Briggs and saw my son looking at me in horror. "Go, now!!" I ordered.

Tim reluctantly climbed out of the bed to leave but Vera crossed over to him with a charming smile.

"Hey, buddy! Don't take this guy too seriously, he's not feeling well today and I know you are a smart kid so you understand, right?" She held his small hands.

Tim looked into her eyes and thought of course he should trust this beautiful lady. Has his mother ever smiled at him like that? I felt jealous of my own son.

My son looked at me and when I sighed, he released a deep breath and return
