“Are you sure you don’t wanna join the cheer club?” Stacy asked.
We all were seated with our food on the trays. “I don't know Stac, I have actually no idea.” I sighed.
She took a sip of her cranberry juice, her eyes lingering at my face with confusion, “you were there it in the last year, why not now?"
How could I tell her that I quitted cheer practice just too get in the skating club.
“I’ll give it a thought.” I said making her smile.
Flora was still nowhere seen, probably out there with that jerk, Nick.
“Why are they so hot?” Ava questioned, resting her chin on her palms. “Who?” Marcus asked.
“Them.” She pointed out to the table in the far corner towards the window. Marcus turned around. His face immediately turned into a frown. “The nerds?"
“Yes, they all look so yummy.” She said dreamingly. He looked back at us with his frown deepened. “What’s with that look, Marcus?” I asked him.
“They are fucking cheaters.”
“How so?” I questioned. My eyes drifted at there table. One of the boys laughed at a joke told by the bob-cut girl.
“The one sitting in the middle took my spot.” He hissed.
“Allow me introduce them to you.” Lucas suddenly barged in the conversation. Feeling intrigued I asked him too continue.
“The girl who has short hair is Lilliana Bay, the other girl is Scarlett Hudgens. The darkish brown haired boy is Noah Reck while the one who has his hair tied in a manbun is Ryker Young.” He paused.
“Hot as fuck.” Ava giggled.
'What a drama queen,' I thought to myself.
“The last one sitting in the middle between Scarlett and Noah is Zachariah Diaz also Marcus’s sworn enemy.” He finished off his speech with a dramatic bow making us chuckle in response.
“Sworn enemy?” Ava curiously asked. “Yeah, he kinda is the Captain of the boxing and swimming club.”
“Woah, both?” A smirk formed on my face. “Yep.” He said popping the ‘p.’
“How can you be the Captain of two clubs at the same time? Isn’t it against the rules?” I asked. “It is but I guess he has his connections with the headmaster.” Jacob said making me turn towards him.
“Really?”
“Rumors have said that he is the Uncle too Zachariah.” He said and I nodded in response. “Also that’s how that group didn't attend the first week.”
I hummed. Thinking of that, I didn't see them in the last days.
My eyes trailed back towards him, Zachariah Diaz. He was wearing a dark blue fennel with a white t-shirt underneath. A silver chain hung around his neck. His hair looked messy, but in a good way. Dark dirty blonde curls rested just above his eyebrows. Glasses rested on the bridge of his nose making him look like an ultimate nerd. But those eyes had everything. Bright blue.
A color that brought happiness.
I liked the way how his eyes would slightly cinch from the corners when he laughed. The way his lips would curl up showing a dimple on one side of the face. He was gorgeous. Handsome.
Beyond handsome.
I couldn’t take my eyes off. He was the definition of hotness. Ava was right.
Tuning my friends out, I stared. My eyes took in every detail. If someone would call me a creep at this moment, I’d be glad.
In a matter of seconds his head tilted and he looked straight into my eyes.
My breath hitched.
This was the second time we had an eye contact. Intense one for me to be specific.
Raising an eyebrow at him, I slightly shifted my head to get a clear view.
A faint tint covered his ears making me smirk in approval.
The sound of the bell broke our intimitate stance. Getting up, I threw my tray in the trash can and strided outside without giving him a second glance.
The rest of the day went by in a blur.
And right now I sat on Flora's bed expecting some answers. She existed the bathroom with a guilty struck expression. “I’m sorry Tina.” She said as she sat next to me, her head hung low. “I’m really sorry.”
“I.. I never wanted to ignore you,” her voice weak and throaty. Giving her a gentle squeeze, I asked her too continue. “My parents had seen that video of yours and the situation went downhill, I.. I had too show them that I wasn't talking to you anymore.” She sighed.
“Right now, they’re not here but if the maids find out that you came by, they are gonna tell them.”
Looking at her, I brought her close to me, giving her gentle hug. “Its okay Lora, it wasn't your fault.”
“I’m really really sorry Lest.” She mumbled against my skin. “It alright, I forgive you.” I gently patted her back.
Detaching myself from the hug, I smiled at her. “Still friends right?” She asked in hope.
I nodded. “Of course silly.”
“Wanna watch a movie or something?” She asked. Shaking my head in a no I replied, “Mom is gonna be gone so I have too cook, maybe on the weekend we could watch a movie and go for shopping?"
“That sounds great!"
We bided our goodbyes and I drove back to my home.
Arriving in the lounge I threw my backpack on the floor and strided towards the kitchen. Mom had always loved fettuccine. She was a fan of Dads cooking. Grabbing the ingredients from the cupboards I started making her favorite dish.
An hour later I was finished.
Ascending towards my room, I plopped myself on the bed. Thoughts after thoughts flooded my mind.
My mother wasn't the best. But she was good enough after I returned from hell. She was there for me but not all the time. I had too deal with my demons alone at night. She used too kiss me goodnights but that stopped when I reached a certain age. She still loved me but I knew deep down she still thinks I was responsible for Dads death.
Which maybe I was.
If I hadn’t asked him to eat that goddamn icecream we would still have been a happy family, where I would be happy.
But this isn’t a fairytale. It's a harsh reality.
The reality where no one helps you but your own self. Where you drown and there is no one to save you, even your own shadows leave you behind.
Have you ever experienced that moment when you want to bash someone's head so hard until they bleed? Yeah that's how I felt right now.Looking at my Mathematics teacher, he wore a disappointed expression. “Look Celestina, I would be very straightforward with you, if you wont get good grades than you would never graduate.”Anything but a disappointed expression. I fucking hate it. It makes me feel low.I scoffed. “What do you want me too than?"“I suggest you too study. If you cant, than we can get you a tutor. We have excellent students who are tutoring for extra credit hours but you’ll have too figure out which one suits you better ” He said, making me roll my eyes in response. “No thankyou, I don't want any of your pathetic help.”“Celestina I suggest you too co-operate with me and also fix your manners. If you cant than I have no choice but too call your mother for this issue.” He ended his sentence. I was fucking seething. How dare he drag mom into this. It’s my fucking life not h
Sitting in the garden with a book in my hand and a pair of airpods plugged in my ears was the best combination.Hometown smile by Bahjat bursting in my ears.My eyes kept on scanning the lines until it was dark enough to go back inside. Lifting myself off the swing, I hurriedly went inside towards the kitchen.Skipping through some cupboards, I came across my fathers favorite cupboard. He used to lock his food in it since me and my mother always liked to steal and than devour it. He had the best taste in everything. His cooking was just extra. Sighing I brushed past it. Sadness washing over my features once again.Grabbing a pack of Doritos and a glass of cranberry juice, I strided back to my room. I sat down on the overused bed making myself comfortable in it. Placing my laptop on my lap, I played an episode of Stranger Things. If you haven’t watched that show than you live under a rock, my friends. Munching on my Doritos I started to watch it. Hours later, I had finished the whole
A week had passed in a blur. In which either I was on the bed or I was in the bathroom with my head in the toilet. Yuck. Yeah you guessed it right, I was throwing up everything I was eating. I felt great. My mother hadn’t come back home, she just texted me saying that she was on a business trip with the client. Just like always she wasn't there to treat my disease.Sighing, I got off from my car and leaned against it for a minute, my head still spinning from all the vomiting. I hadn’t ate much since my stomach was contracting painfully from inside but I had to endure it. Endure all of it just like before. Before I could walk, a pair of arms engulfed me in a tight hug making me flinch hard. They immediately retracted their arms and stood infront of me. “I’m sorry!" I looked at the intruder and saw Flora standing with a frown on her face. “Girl, you look horrible.” She fake gagged. “I know that already.” I sighed and grabbed my backpack from the passenger seat. “Rough weekend?"We bot
“This project will consist of partners. I’ll be assigning the partner you’ll work with and I don't want any complaints, am I understood?” The teacher also known as Henry addressed to the class. A chorus of yes’s were heard.I took a side glance at Zachariah who was busy writing something on his notebook. He looked extra handsome today. He wore a pair of beige dress-pants and a white collared shirt which was folded up to his elbows. A silver chain hanging from his neck. Three rings rested on both of his hands and a black beaded charm bracelet. Are nerds that hot?His face looked so innocent. The glasses rested on the bridge of his nose. His soft pink lips were turned into a pout. Extra delicious. His hair was messily disheveled, draped on his forehead and eyes.Illegal.“Anna and Tyler,”“Cristiano and West,”The teacher called out names. Groans were heard in the room but my eyes were fixed on something special. And that special was him. Am I getting obsessed? Yes.“Linda and Bella,”
All my life I was running in circles. Running away from everything but still spinning back to the very same dark spot which had been swallowing me up from inside. But life has some unexpected turns and twists. Some are bad, some are good. The good ones only come when you pass the bad ones.Right now I stood infront of the library, hoping I could keep my headaches at bay. The migraines were coming back and I definitely was not looking forward to it.Sighing, I strided inside looking for the same dirty blonde head but to my avail there was no such head. My eyes trailed towards my watch that read 12:45. Was I late for the meetup? Yes. If you ask me the reason, I wont say it. Looks like he ditched me. Expected. A groan erupted from my mouth as I walked too the nearest table. Plopping myself down, I rested my head on the table. Closing my eyes, my mind drifted back to the dark hole. A hole from where you could never come out even if you tried.Life is entertaining too some.A flash of pa
The rest of the day had ended in a blur. I walked pass the streets, my mind drifted towards the last encounter with him.If you’re wondering where my car is; than let me rewind a bit back, some bitches who disliked me and my guts ruptured my tires. Yeah and that’s how I ended up here in the rain soaking from head to toe.Life is way too unpredictable. I was freaking cold. My numb feet led me through the neighborhood where the richest resided. Strands of hair were stuck on my face. My clothes drenched which sticked to me like a second skin and the skirt wasn't helping me either today. Lucky me today. The dark patch had been giving out a heavy amount of water. Trees looked like they’ll fall at any minute. Here, in LA the storms were bad. Very bad. Taking a few more steps I halted when I saw a familiar face talking too another. The person was smiling. A beautiful smile.Blowing out a shuddered breath, I continued my walk until my eyes met his. There he stood with a little girl in his
Zachariah;“She ish so pwretty.” Zinzi giggled as I tucked her in bed. “Really?” I questioned, more asking myself. “Yesh, just like a pwrincess.”“True.” I mumbled, not sure why.Kissing her forehead, I smiled at my little girl. “Goodnight baby and don't stay awake too late okay?"“Okay Zacky.” She replied and closed her eyes.Giving her another kiss, I exited her room and strided towards the lounge. These past weeks were weird. Whenever I saw her, she had her eyes latched on me. Scarlett was quite uncomfortable and always told me too stay away from her since she is a bad influence. But was she? Only time could tell. The time when Lilliana had lashed on her made her look weak but just for a second. Emotions had lingered in her eyes. She seemed conflicted. It felt as if she wasn't strong.Scarlett wasn't happy when she found out that I had to do my project with her. She maybe my girlfriend but she was too possessive. Sometimes she just wouldn't let me friendzone anyone other than her
Stirring in my sleep, I snuggled up in the warm pillow, feeling the warmth invade my skin. The sun beamed through the blinds causing me to stir in my place. I groaned as the first beam of sunlight hit my face making me wince, thinking who the fuck broke my tinted windows. And then suddenly I jerked up in the bed looking around my surroundings.Where the fuck am I? Soon my question was answered when Zachariah walked in with a tray of breakfast in his hand. “Oh, good that you’re awake.” He spoke making me tilt my head in confusion. “What am I doing here?” I questioned instead.“You don't remember?” He asked, placing the tray on the side table. I shook my head. “You fainted from high fever.”My turned into an ‘O’ shape as I scurried away from the bed and got up. A wave of dizziness washed over me as I crashed on the bed again. “Careful, there.” He said as he came towards me.“Fuck.” I mumbled.“You should rest.” He told me whilst I tried too stand up and this time I succeeded. “Uh, no t
