Chapter 18

Maxwell pouted.

Sonnet pushed him out of the bathroom and said, “Hurry up and go to bed. I’ll take a shower and change my clothes.”

She pushed him out of the bathroom and locked the door at once.

Maxwell leaned on the door from outside as a charming smile formed on his lips. He then lay down on the bed.

Sonnet spent some time taking a shower. She guessed that Maxwell should be asleep by now, so she came out of the bathroom.

He had fallen asleep.

She let out a sigh of relief and looked at the time. It was already three o’clock in the morning.

She sat down on the sofa and dried her hair. She dried her hair while thinking about everything that had happened tonight.

It was obvious that Jim had tried to scheme against her tonight. The bowl of noodles that he had prepared for her should have been drugged.

However, she had finished the bowl of noodles, and did not have any evidence of it now. How could she allow him to take advantage of her without any consequences?
