Eunice looked at the obstetricians.

Joel interjected, "We can't do that. Eunice's vital signs are suitable for natural birth. We can't just change to a C-section. It'll cause more harm to her body."

"But she's in so much pain! Is that okay?" Mortimer's tone grew heavy. Those who knew him well could tell he was upset.

"If the pain is too much, we can administer an epidural later."

"Give it to her now!" Mortimer ordered, his face cold.

Joel looked helpless. "Mortimer, the epidural should be given when the cervix is dilated to 4 cm. Eunice has just started having contractions. It's not time yet."

Yasmin was shocked.

Eunice was already in so much pain, yet the dilation was not even at one inch and above. How much worse would it be when it reached 4 inches?

Eunice cried even harder. She was in so much pain, but it was only the beginning. She felt like she couldn't go on.
