Eunice looked at the obstetricians.

Joel interjected, "We can't do that. Eunice's vital signs are suitable for natural birth. We can't just change to a C-section. It'll cause more harm to her body."

"But she's in so much pain! Is that okay?" Mortimer's tone grew heavy. Those who knew him well could tell he was upset.

"If the pain is too much, we can administer an epidural later."
