Chapter 5: Care

Jessica could only stay in Mr Morgan's room as her master ordered. She only went out to have lunch at the dining table set up by the maids.

It was all on the direct orders of the host who contacted Faye.

"Miss, lunch is ready," Faye called from outside Mr Morgan's room.

"Ah yes, Faye, I'll be down in a minute," Jessica went downstairs for lunch.

While walking to the dining table, Jessica met the maid who had ignored her the day before.

She smiled sincerely there and walked back to the dining table.

PLUCK!!!

"Ouch," Jessica was deliberately tripped and fell there.

Jessica's skin was white and sensitive, so her knees were reddened and bruised.

Jessica looked at the maid named Mia. But she had no idea what the maid's name was.

"Miss, are you alright?" Faye came to help Jessica up.

"I'm fine, Faye. Thank you," Jessica smiled again and continued her walk towards the dining table.

"Why is there so much food, Faye? Who would eat this much?" Jessica asked again.

As Jessica was about to eat, she heard footsteps approaching. She thought it was Mr Morgan, but it wasn't. The man was with Mr Morgan the first day they met.

Jessica did not know who the man was.

"Good afternoon, Miss. I am here on direct orders from Mr Morgan. And here is your new mobile phone," Jonathan said, handing Jessica a brand-new one.

A mobile phone whose screen can be swiped and flipped, the Apple mobile phone is on the rise now.

Jessica was still staring at the mobile phone. Is this phone really for her?

"The mobile phone only has the numbers of me, Mr Morgan, and Faye. Other than the three numbers listed there. You are strictly forbidden to contact anyone else. Remember, Miss, whatever you do with that phone, Mr Morgan will know about it immediately. Because the phone has been set up so I can directly connect to Mr Morgan, please be wise in doing things, Miss. Because every mistake you make, someone else will have to pay for it. Do you understand?" Jonathan asked.

Jessica nodded while looking at Jonathan.

"Then I take my leave. Good day, Miss," Jonathan bowed respectfully, left the mansion, and returned to his office.

***

When Jonathan arrived at the office, Morgan gave him a sharp look.

"I have sent her mobile phone. And Miss Jessica looks happy."

"Hmm," Morgan replied.

She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes.

He thought back to all that was inside Jessica. A petite woman who was far from his ideal type. But her charms kept Morgan thinking about her.

Morgan's eyes opened again when he saw a message on his mobile phone… It was Jessica's number.

Because he gave it to Jessica.

"Sir, can I go to the reading room? Faye said there is a reading room here," said Jessica.

WHACK!!!

Morgan threw his mobile phone on the table, and Jonathan picked it up and read the message.

"Let her go to the den, just keep an eye on her every move," Morgan ordered.

"Yes," the message was sent.

It wasn't Morgan who sent her; it was Jonathan.

"Faye, Mr Morgan said I could read in the reading room. This is a message from Mr Morgan," Jessica pointed her mobile phone at Faye.

Just as she was about to open the den door, Faye's mobile rang, and it was a direct call from Mr Morgan.

"Hello, Sir," Jessica paused as Faye picked up the phone and knew it must be Mr Morgan.

"Leave him in the reading room. Make sure she doesn't do anything else. If she does something and gets hurt, then all of you will suffer the consequences of her carelessness!"

Morgan switched off his mobile phone before Faye could answer.

"What did Mr Morgan Faye say?" asked Jessica curiously.

"It's nothing important. Sir is just saying that you should be careful. If you get hurt, someone will be the victim of your carelessness," Faye replied, shocking Jessica.

"What does that mean? Why does it have to be like that?" Jessica muttered to herself.

"Come, Miss, please," Faye opened the door to the room.

Many books are neatly arranged on each shelf according to the type and author. Everything is very neat and well organised there.

Jessica was amazed to see thousands of books, all kinds of books, including novels and history books.

Jessica chose history books about global stories. Her favourites are stories about world wars and civil wars.

Jessica said the room is very cosy. She will feel at home daily, reading the many books in it.

Morgan always monitored Jessica's movements through his laptop. There were no suspicious movements.

He even saw her go out and return with a glass of juice.

***

It was late afternoon and turning into evening. Faye had told Jessica that Mr Morgan wasn't coming home for dinner. So Jessica could eat first.

Jessica went back to Mr Morgan's room. It was already 9 p.m., but Mr Morgan still hadn't come home, so Jessica fell asleep on the sofa, waiting for him to come home.

At exactly 23:15, Morgan's car arrived home, driven by Jonathan.

"Come, sir."

"No, you don't have to drive me! You can go home!" Without looking at Jonathan again, Morgan headed straight to his room.

The house was deserted. Only Faye was still there. She had to ensure everything was okay before she could return to the back house because it was indeed at night that no one was allowed to roam inside the main house.

"Is there anything you want, sir?" asked Faye.

"No! Go back to rest!" After saying that, Morgan smiled slightly and went straight to his room.

CREAKED!!!

Opening the door to the room, Morgan saw that the lights were still on properly.

He had just returned from his base to check on their contraband.

Once he had removed his suit and shirt, Morgan headed straight to the bathroom to clean himself up.

But when he came out of there, he saw Jessica asleep on the sofa with a towel in her hand.

How innocent Jessica's face looked when she was asleep. Very beautiful and looks very peaceful in the eyes of Morgan's sharp eyes.

Morgan removed the strands of hair that partially covered Jessica's face, and really…

The peaceful face deeply touched Morgan. Slowly but surely, Morgan's big hand touched Jessica's soft cheek.

BA BUMP!!!

Morgan's heart was beating at an uncharacteristic rate.

Even now, Morgan's blood was rushing violently. His body responded quickly to the brush against Jessica's slightly chubby cheek.

"No! I'm not weak. I don't need women. They will only make me weak. I won't be weak just because of a woman!" he braced, dismissing his admiration for the woman.

Then, Morgan lifted Jessica's body onto her bed out of pity for her sleeping on the sofa.

Yes! Just a pity party! No more than that. That's what Morgan believes.

Jessica was already in a deep sleep and was not disturbed when Morgan brought her to bed.

Then he also lay down beside Jessica.
