“She’s losing a lot of blood,” the surgeon said.

Dr. Hastings was one of the best trauma surgeons on this side of the country. Luckily, he had been visiting his sister who lived in our pack.

This was not the first surgery that I had overseen. I trained as a combat medic and have been brought into countless surgeries because of my experience as well as my healing magic. Unfortunately, not everything could be easily healed. This was one such instance.
