Chapter 33

Renee's POV

I awoke on the floor of the cell. It was now dark outside as there was no light coming through the small, barred windows of the basement.

"Ugh" I groaned my whole body hurt, and my face felt smushed from laying on it. My hand went to the back of my head I could feel the dried blood in my hair but at least it felt like my head wound had closed. I peeled my face of the floor where it had been stuck in congealed blood. Then I pushed my body off the floor until I was in a sitting position. The lights were still on in the basement, and I could see a total of five cells, but all the other ones were empty.

The change of position caused my head to start spinning. I brought my hands to either side of my head holding it up hoping to stop the dizzy spell. On the plus side the silver handcuffs were no longer on my wrists, I guess they removed them while I was unconscious.

"Yes, I have her here." I hear Joey's voice echo from the hall outside of the cell room. I crawl closer to try
