Chapter 14: Suffering of the innocent

I never actually thought about the consequences of trying to find the pups, I didn't think for once who took them, why and how strong and connected they could be. I knew I would have to pay the price eventually but I never expected it to get to my family, Laura and her innocent pups.

"Travis!"

I turned around to the trembling voice of Laura as her decent blue eyes were filled with tears. She raised her sleeve and raised her forearm to plain sight. "Look at this…" the sizzling red burns of silver were evident with outlines of blood. "They did this to me! I wouldn't be so mad if it was just me but look at these!" She went to her sobbing triplets and angrily pulled up their sleeves. The same burnt marks were on their arms. "Silver Travis!" She exclaimed alongside loud sobbing. "My kids are only four but look at their arms!'

"Laura I'm… I'm so sorry i--i…" an unexpected teardrop rolled down my cheek and I instantly wiped it off, blinking back the tears that welled up my eyes.
