Chapter Twenty-Four

She was smiling, while watching the TV. I could see her clearly from where I was crouching. I checked the time yet again. 9:00pm. Subconsciously humming and tapping my fingers on the rail, I stared on.

Soon, the lights would go off, and it'd be time… I took a last moment's glance at my black bag, and chuckled lightly.

I had been watching her for days. From her errands to the departmental stores, and her activities in her little home. All of them. I had memorized her schedule infact. It was a Friday. The only day she stayed up late at night watching her favorite show on TV. Smiling again, I continued humming, while counting down inwardly.

One…Two…Three. In a snap, the lights went off, and I dived. The door pushed open without any difficulty. Studying the house layout beforehand proved handy, as I found a corner from where I could watch her obscurely.
