I couldn’t check the mail update from Megan due to the bad network service in the area that we where, so I made a mental note to check it out later on. However, I couldn’t shake off the thought that Megan had sent something very important. She usually conveyed information to me via calls and she texted sometimes. But she never used emails unless it’s a very serious matter and me being eager to see what it was is an understatement, I was highly anxious. Stupid network service!I started the ignition and geared the car into acceleration and began driving. It was a Black Phantom Rolls Royce — a very expensive and sophisticated vehicle and I have to admit I liked the way it felt when I drive it; I liked the feel of my feet pressing down on the gas peddle unhitched, I like the feel of smoothly maneuvering of the steering wheel and the real leather seats made my rear feel comfortable, not to mention the soft noise the tyres made plying the road. What I did not like, or rather, who I didn’t like, was Gyro. I hated her haughtiness and pride, I hated the fact that she was sometimes uptight and rude, I hated the fact that she was also too friendly sometimes, and sometimes, unwelcoming.By too friendly, I mean who hires a complete stranger as a driver without a very proper interview? And by unwelcoming, she hasn’t said a single word to me since we started the drive back home. However, I don’t blame her.I’m aware of the smugness and gloaty complacency these celebrities assume once they have made it big, it makes them think that they’re better than everyone else. Undoubtedly they are, but I hated the fact that their approach was usually uncouth. But what I actually hated the most about Gyro was the fact that she acted so innocent and pure, like she absolutely had no skeletons in her closet and was so clean and unblemished. I couldn’t wait to expose her.Another thing I hated was the fact that this was taking too long and so far, I hadn’t been able to gain one single information about her. Nevertheless, I decided to do some more snooping around this night when everyone was asleep, so I wouldn’t have any interruptions or unexpected walk-ins.The private iron barred gates to Gyro’s mansion slid open and I drove the car in and all the way to the garage. The bodyguards from another vehicle I just noticed had been trailing behind us alighted and walked over to the passenger side of this Rolls Royce and opened it for Gyro to step out.She alighted and the door was shut behind her and I watched in amusement as she strutted all the way into the mansion. I got out of the car too and locked it, giving the keys to one of the bodyguards because I wasn’t allowed to be in possession of it.I also wasn’t allowed to be in the main house — obviously, so I walked all the way to my flat in the staff quarters like I was instructed and dropped on my bed the moment I stepped in.I let out an exasperated and tired sigh as I sunk into the bed. After resting my eyes for about fifteen minutes, I strode into my kitchen to fix myself something to eat.I took the pain and effort to prepare lasagna that late at night, so as to consume and pass away time while I waited for Gyro to go to bed. When I was done with the cooking, eating and clearing up, I decided that it was time to freshen up.I walked into my bathroom and showered and brushed my teeth. Afterwards, I decided to put on a T-shirt and jeans rather than my pajamas, since I wasn’t going to bed immediately. With that, I walked out of my apartment and made my way to the main building. I paused to look around and check if anyone was nearby, following me or watching me. When I was satisfied with my safety, I continued advancing towards the building.I finally reached the main building and was faced with the obstacle of a privacy lock at the door and it required a code that I didn’t know. Luckily for me and unfortunate for Gyro and her skeletoned secrets, I had so many years of experience working for Splash a star and was friends with a tech savvy to not know how to crack a lock. There was always a default password for every security lock no matter the brand, type of whatever password the owner might’ve set it to unlock in command to. And I knew exactly what that code was.Looking around one more time and ascertaining that I was alone, I proceeded to type in the code and as expected, the machine flashed green and I was granted access. All the lights were turned off and that meant that Gyro was most likely asleep.Thank goodness!I contemplated on where I was going to look first before narrowing my options down to her office, the library and the store room. If I had enough time, I'll scan through all of them.I know it sounds random, but I chose the library because many people hide their secrets in the library; in between all those hard–covered voluminous books probably lied secrets and scandals that would be my key to getting Gyro. However, I was going to begin with her office because that’s obviously the first place to start from.It most probably holds and stores lots of information.I wasn’t too worried about someone finding me, except if Gyro suddenly wakes up and decides to visit her office at 1am, which was highly unlikely.I actually learnt last year that Gyro practically dies when she sleeps because when she sleeps, she does so until the next morning when it’s time to wake up and doesn’t succumb to any disturbances. Her ex boyfriend had posted that on his Twitter as a troll when the scandal of their breakup was still trending. So I really hope he is indeed correct, if not, I’m really taking a risk here.Nobody else stayed in the main building with Gyro; according to the personal information leaked, She’s single and doesn’t have any romantic partner or child who stays with her. The staff and bodyguards stay in the staff quarters. It was really hard going around the house in darkness without illumination and a sense of direction as I had left my phone in my quarters and didn’t want to turn on any of the lights, plus I didn’t know my way around Gyro’s house. After what seemed like all of eternity, I think I had arrived at the room allocated for her in-house office. I tried opening it but it was locked, and this time, it was key locked and unlucky me, I didn’t have the keys, nor anything pointy and sharp to pick the lock with.I cussed underneath my breath and considered kicking the door in frustration but logically reasoned that it might wake Gyro up.I decided to move on to the next room I had in mind to scan. The library. It took me another donkey years to finally unlock the library door and when I did, trust me, I stepped inside, shutting the door behind me immediately.I located the light switch and turned on the lights.I was immediately greeted with the sight of numerous shelves stocked and loaded with what seemed like infinite number of books and my jaw slacked as I wondered just how many books were in this place.Gyro didn’t even strike me as one who loved reading books; I just figured she had a library because that’s what rich people do, they just set up libraries in their large homes and order shittones of books they don’t and would never read. The same may be the case for Gyro, because she doesn’t appeal to me as one who appreciates books.I exhaled deeply as I looked around, wondering where I would begin. It wasn’t going to be easy raking through this library, but there wasn’t any part of my job that was ever easy.I went through most of the aisles and flipped open a few books, hoping for a document paramount to my investigation to fall out from one of the pages. But I got nothing. After what seemed like an hour and thirty minutes, I hadn’t found anything and was beginning to loose hope and give up. But as I was going through one of the aisles, I pushed some books away and lo and behold, I saw a key.I took the key and held it up in my hands. It was labelled ‘office spare key.’ I nearly screamed for joy as I read the label and blessed the clutz for being so clumsy and leaving behind an extra key to Gyro’s office.I arranged the books and aisles I had scattered and made sure everywhere looked untouched before switching off the lights and shutting the door. I made my way back to Gyro’s office and slotted the key in.The door thankfully opened and I was overjoyed within, I had a really good feeling about this. I felt I was going to find something. I shut the door behind me and finding the light switch, I switched it on.I then began searching the office for answers. In Hollywood and America’s music industry, there was always market for the young, beautiful and talented. The market brings attention and some of them do not know how to handle the attention and fall into scandals. Some though, decide to fall into scandals because they are not getting enough attention and feel it’s the only way to be relevant. It is common knowledge that Gyro is young and single and this is one of her greatest selling points asides her great voice - the talent. This makes it so that both ladies and men love her, and would waste no time in buying tickets for her show - the attraction. And in most cases, talent plus attraction mishandled equals to wrong decisions. And I was certain Gyro had made some of them.I went through all the shelves and drawers and found nothing but work documents. I then decided to go through her office cabinet and while I was ravaging through the final drawer, I was delighted to find something unexpected. And it was my first golden step on my way to success.I found a picture of Gyro and Nathaniel Emerson, a rich ‘religious’ Christian oil tycoon who is married, very popularly known for his wealth and his devotion to God. It was a comprising pose as he had his arms snaked around her waist and her lips were pecked on his cheek. They seemed to be in karaoke bar.The picture looked fairly old and forgotten. This was a bomb! And I would’ve been shocked about it if I hadn’t seen far worse things through the entirety of my careers.I decided to submit this golden piece of evidence to Megan, that way I could kill two birds with one stone! Gyro and Nathaniel with one swift move. The thought of this major and huge success was so elating that I didn’t know when I let out a squeal of joy and quickly covered my mouth hoping no one heard, but it was far too late because I heard a door close and someone stopped by the office window."Shit, I'm dead."✔︎ꨄ︎CORVETTEꨄ︎✔︎My heart hammered loudly in my chest when the person got close to the window. I was like a deer caught in a headlight. Since the lights of the office were turned on I couldn’t hide from the person, knowing I've been seen.I moved my hands indiscreetly and I quickly hid the picture I had found. The person knocked on the window and I swallowed. I moved closer to the window and formed a brave composure like I wasn't guilty of anything.I opened the window and I smiled at the person, who I discovered soon, was one of Gyro's bodyguards.“Good evening, Miss.” He greeted. He stared at me suspiciously, but I didn’t budge, my composure was still as strong as ever.“Good evening sir” I responded smiling at him, if only he could see how my hands were shaking slightly but ‘I, Coco, has mastered the art of acting'.“Is everything okay Ma’am? I heard a scream from this place” He asked.“Oh, no, not at all. I am good” I replied.“Oh, I just thought…” He trailed off but I put my hand
☘︎☞︎︎︎CORVETTE☜︎︎︎☘︎... The next morning...Last night was indeed a breakthrough, like they say, true success only locates those who are willing to risk it to the end.Nothing good comes easy and I was very well aware of the strenuous and arduous steps I was mandated to take to ensure that my being here was not a waste and to make sure I don't fail this mission or disappoint Megan and every other person that looked up to me.Not many of them at Splash a star magazine were opportuned to take a high tensioned responsibility like this; If only they had worked harder to get a position like mine, I'm quite certain they wouldn't be under me as they are right now.My struggles weren't of milk and honey, sometimes I would think of giving up because of the gravity of the job given to me but I kept on pushing on because I was willing to win against all odds and at all costs. In front of me was Splash a Star magazine building, it was a tall glass skyscraper and it almost seemed impossible to see
༆♧︎︎︎Corvette♧︎︎︎༆I know I previously said that I didn’t have any friends and that’s true, however, I’m not about to contradict what I said earlier, but I think I do have a friend. Well, if you’d want to consider the only co-worker in Splash A Star I can actually stand and isn’t an annoying hating jealous soul or has an unlikeable character. I do make friends though; who wouldn’t want to be friends with a successful, beautiful girl like me at the first glance? However, keeping those friends is the problem for me.Sometimes, Megan sends me on jobs that includes me being situated half across the country, or continent, sometimes I’m even in a different continent as a whole. So keeping friends is a no on my part. However, Vivian is different because she’s my coworker and we have a more solid foundation to build our ‘friendship’ on. Today, Vivian was in my office and we both decided to celebrate our recent wins together now that I was back for a while since she herself just got back from
༄❁CORVETTE❁༄"Have a nice vacation" Megan said and I smiled."Thanks Megan and have a great day" I replied. With a huge sigh... a sigh of relief, I left Megan's office and shut the door behind me.Well, I guess it's time to get packing. I really need some time for myself, after all they said all work and no play makes jack a dull boy, well in this sense all work and no vacation makes Coco a dull girl."Why is she smiling like that?" I heard the voice of a colleague hit me, and I turned instinctively towards the direction."Why do you care if I am smiling or not, huh?" I asked, my voice sounding a little bit harsh but who cares, since I have stepped in here, they have been making slide remarks at me.I got no response from anyone, and the truth of the matter was that, I wasn't ready to exchange words with anyone, so I just let it slide."Are you scared of her?" I heard another whisper, which made me sigh and shook my head at how childish some adults behave."No, I'm not, I just do not w
۞❄︎CORVETTE❄︎۞"Phewwww" I let out a sigh with my back against the door. I'm exhausted and tired from all the days job, all the energy I've spent at work has drained me to the core. My experience at the train station was just so annoying, it just sprouts out this disturbing feeling of disgust at people who seemed to be fans or followers of Nicholas Hills. For the lightness of my heart I think it's best I had just forget whatever happened at that train station and let go of this emotional rage I feel inside. But why exactly are some humans so uncultured, so many of these people lack decency. It would be rather called stereotyping if I say fans of Nicholas are as rude and indecent as he is.It wouldn't have hurt for that young man to apologize or atleast display some attitude of remorse for his inappropriate action. Nevertheless I was so excited to go on my cheap and affordable vacation on Iski island. The article I read about Iski island clearly stated it was situated off the coast of
𖧷ꨄ︎ CORVETTE ꨄ𖧷The journey down to Mexico was very tiring and complete stressed and drained me out. From the airport, to the clearance and down to the actual flight itself; reasons because the plane was having a few problems due to unforseen turbulence and it was quite scary, but all in all, we arrived at Mexico safely and I was grateful and thankful for that. I got out of the plane and walked into the arrivals, had my luggage scanned and every other needed formality taken care of and when I was cleared, I stepped out of the building and went outside to book for an Uber. While waiting for my Uber to arrive, I decided to visit a nearby coffee shop I had spotted and ordered a cup of cappuccino in a bid that it would somewhat elevate the tiredness.Twenty minutes later, my Uber arrived and I got in. We headed for our destination, Iski Island and I couldn’t wait to see just how great this Island was. I really had great expectations for it. I fell asleep in the Uber taxi through the d
♡︎ఌ︎CORVETTEఌ︎♡︎My night being totally bad was the understatement of the century. I couldn’t get any sleep in as I had spent most of the time swatting away mosquitos and scratching and itching the bites and bumps. After a long and uncomfortable several hours, I was finally able to get some proper sleep at about five AM when dawn had already began to creep on the night. What woke me up the next morning was the feeling of water dripping on my skin and the uncomfortableness of it all made me flutter my eyes open into wake.I sat atop on my bed immediately and looked up to see the cause of the dripping water, I found out that the celling was dampened at one spot and seemed to have been leaking. However, it wasn’t raining at all outside. So where was the water coming from?Confused and puzzled as to why this was happening, I quickly rushed outside of my room and wondered wondering why the leakage was there and where the leakage was coming from. The resorts were in form of story buildings
༆⍟COVERTTE⍟༆This is extremely dissatisfying and unacceptable, why exactly should I go get a mosquito net when I didn't pay for a camping experience?Even if it were to be a camping experience I paid for, it would have been more pleasing than what I'm experiencing right now.I stormed out of the bar furious and enraged. I think I might just have to tour myself around this island because I had initially planned on asking this bar man to tour me, but he was acting mentally deranged.Nevertheless, I'd rather tour myself than going back to him to ask for his help.I walked around, looking for someone who knew this island like the back of their hands and would be willing to tour me round this lonely island even if there was a pay attached to it. As much as I wanted to tour myself, it would be of great difficulty to me even if I tried.I kept my composure calm as I navigated my way through the island to find someone to tour me privately. I passed a middle aged lady who stood as if she was wa
