Chapter 2 Set You Up

“That’s so sad. I heard when her husband went over, he saw her body being dug out.”

“That must really have killed him, right?”

A nosy person couldn’t help but asked that person in the know.

That person shook his head with a smile, “He didn’t. Gu Baisheng and her husband Song Shuang were strange bedfellows. Everyone in the field knows that.”

“In the field?” That nosy person was surprised, “You are a doctor?”

“Nope, my daughter is.”

After saying that, he turned back and pointed at Gu Baisheng. He said with a smile, “This is my daughter. It’s a coincidence that her name is just the same as Gu Baisheng’s. But her last name is Bai, and her first name is Shengsheng.”

“Bai Shengsheng?”

Gu Baisheng looked at Bai Shengsheng’s gossiping father. He looked like a fat cat, pointing at her with his fat fingers. Gu Baisheng touched her face with her hands unbelievably.

Looking at her daughter touching her face, Bai Dahai immediately passed her a cellphone, “Stop touching your face. Look at it yourself. Your look is intact.”

Gu Baisheng didn’t care about other things. Seeing Bai Dahai passing her the phone, she quickly reached out and grabbed it. She then opened the front-facing camera to see her face.

She was dazed with just one look.

She couldn’t believe it.

She had had a face of a thirty-year-old, yet now it turned into a girl’s face who was in her twenties.

Besides, it was a coquettish face.

It was a completely different kind of beauty compared to her original face.

She was startled and stepped back abruptly. The phone in her hand landed on the ground and the screen was cracked.

When Bai Dahai saw that, his expression changed. He kneeled on the ground and started picking it up in a panic.

Seeing the cracked screen, he shouted heartbrokenly, “My dear daughter. This is a new iPhone 8 I just bought. Why did you just throw it on the ground? How much would it cost to repair this screen?”

The person on the adjacent hospital bed gloated, “It won’t cost much. Don’t be sad, bro.”

Bai Dahai held his phone, feeling his heart ached.

Gu Baisheng didn’t recover from the shock that she just revived in a new guise.

But her soul came into Bai Shengsheng?

She knew Bai Shengsheng, who was an intern in the Second Hospital and also a surgeon. She had contact with Bai Shengsheng before. But Bai Shengsheng went through a bad breakup recently. Gu Baisheng stared at her hands. She turned her palms up and down.

And the oldest nephew of the barber’s uncle’s second aunt.

They tried everyone and everything.

But she was not in the mood.

Without an alternative, Bai Dahai and his wife Xia Juan gave her a picture of a handsome man.

They carefully observed the look on her face and said tentatively, “Honey, we asked auntie Wang to set you up with this man. Even though his wife died recently, he’s a professor at Beicheng Medical University. He’s also Gu Baisheng’s husband…”

“I’ll go meet him.”
